Please allow me to explain. Vocal Fry among women is a result of radical feminism. It is no more than the subconscious attempt by some females to sound more male - deeper voice = stronger, more edgy, more powerful. This goes hand in hand with the past 3 decades of commercials and hollywood garbage depicting males as befuddled and weak and women as competent and strong. This has been so pervasive that there are now many foolish women who imagine themselves to be equally as strong as men, equally as capable at ANY job and equally as rough and ready to defeat others in battle. It's like a mass hallucination of sorts. It even goes so far as to make some women believe and even SAY, "We don't need men", despite the fact that most coal is mined by men, most electrical, plumbing and gas lines are built and maintained by men, most houses, apartments and commercial buildings are built and maintained by men - most farming is done by men, most pilots are men, most ship builders, car manufacturers are men - most electronic devices and medical devices were invented by men. Clocks, watches, navigational apparatus were all invented by men and on and on. The big problem with radical feminism is that it STOPS SOME FEMALE BRAINS FROM FUNCTIONING PROPERLY!!!

I attribute it to laziness, it takes effort to speak properly and a lot of people don't care, enunciation and pronunciation are a problem I find particularly annoying, speak clearly people.
