This was actually very poorly done, like the person behind the camera was looking the other way most of the time. The quality of the footage also not even 4K.
Incredible bummer the fly fishing organizations in Mammoth have convinced DFW to shut down the East Walker River and DE REGULATE one of Californias best catch and release rivers! The talk around town, Mammoth/Bishop guides simply feel that they’re loosing too much revenue because the east Walker River puts out quality brown trout. No need to catch and release for stocker Trout they are sterile they cannot reproduce. I still catch and release all fish, although I am an excellent angler I hate the taste of fish.
I might have hooked it last week. The fish was pulling like mad, then it stopped and I was stuck in the weeds. I waited to see if he would swim out, but to no avail. I was using 10lb braided main line and 2lb fluorocarbon leader and finally just snapped the leader. I have caught a 7 3/4lber out of George and this Lake Mary guy was pulling harder. Oh well, always another trip to try.
