Women are so shallow, they cant appreciaye when a nice guy respects boundaries, but instead goes out with greasy and rude pollocks and carpathians.. Life is indeed so cruel and unfair..
Doesn't seem like an accurate portrayal of the friendship. Kubitschek mentions that Hitler placed high emphasis on politeness and proper manners. The idea that he would have yelled at his friend in public seems rather ridiculous. This is as realistic as the idea of Hitler talking in a British accent. 🤦♂️
Iwan Rheon is an amazing actor, hitler was like this with all the people he disliked. But, August Kubizek was probably his dearest friend, and he never treated him so harshly, if you read the book from Kubizek words you’ll see that he describes him as caring and affectionate, even if yes, sometimes he was a little bit neurotic, but not like this, not with him. He was probably one of the few people in life who knew another hitler, even if already in those times he was cultivating his monstrous theories, he wasn’t yet the hitler the world knows. Kubizek was probably the only real friend he had and hitler said that the years shared with him were the best of his life.
When I first watched the episode, I literally shrieked and covered my mouth with both hands when he let go of the doll just as the baby cried. I have never in my life reacted to a scene that way before. The show is so good at building tension.
One of the best scenes of the entire series! Roscoe is amazing, most of his scenes she doesn’t even say anything but he’s one of my favorite characters!
"This war will set us back many years in our building programme. It is a tragedy. I did not become Chancellor of the Greater German Reich to fight wars." - Adolf Hitler to his childhood friend, August Kubizek
