It's not being petty. It's being a responsible witness to a dangerous, potentially impaired driving incident, where a party to the collision left the scene.
When I said "Be Petty" it means hold the driver of the other car accountable. And the lesson that needs to be taught, at a MINIMUM is that you don't go around causing property damage and putting other's lives at risk. Suppose she ran over a foot, or brushed a pedestrian? @@patsfan8057 Yeah, that's kinda my point. I used to work with law enforcement, so I agree that there needs to be accountability and some kind of deterrent action. What I was getting at is that is NOT petty to report this type of incident; it is actually the legal responsibility of whoever is involved or witnesses it, to report when someone flees the scene of an accident.
I used to work with law enforcement. You should absolutely report this. If she gets away with it and continues being careless, the next time she clips someone, she might touch their wheel and flip a vehicle, which might kill or injure people, possibly even children. She needs to be on law enforcement's radar, if nothing else. It's one thing if you both inspected the damage to your respective cars, and mutually decided not to report, but she fled the scene. This would be reporting a dangerous, possibly impaired driver. Please report.
@Khrystyna853 its not as dangerous as ppl make it out to be, no one is on the road actively trying to get into or cause accidents. And chances are if you get onto one you will drive safer. Some ppl don't have the time or patience. Plus if it's so unimportant why does she need to talk to her. It's just her feelings
@@bgrego88 For young, possibly impaired drivers, although they may not be trying to get into accidents, if they get away with them, it is no incentive to be a safer driver. In fact, it is sometimes an incentive to see just how much they can get away with. Her feelings are not a factor in this, even though the video is primarily about that. And you actually have no idea how dangerous this could get. I have worked with law enforcement, so I know what can happen when young people think they are invincible...
@@bgrego88 there are procedures to be followed on the road that were violated when the person drove off. Fleeing the scene is a felony, regardless of the damages. Get your license before you start giving advice about driving.

Then her question is moot, she shouldn't be questioning weather or not she should be letting a felon go she should report it by virtue of morality and righteousness instead of asking the internet for its consensus
Do you have any proof? Dash cam? Police will often times have a damage threshold to file a report, in my area it is $1,000. IMO it is a waste of time and energy and you should just let it go.
You can (and should) report a dangerous driver, even without dashcam evidence, and even without any damage at all. It is not a waste of time, if it saves someone's life in the future...
If u report first, ur report carries more weight. Remember this, u could be considered the one at fault if she lies...and she has 3 witnesses. U must report to protect urself.
Well it's a combination of things. One people have a destructive impulse and everyone is a little antisocial. It's the same reason why people went to the Colosseum to watch executions. Also they can act on that impulse anonymously. So they don't witness the consequences and believe they're not going to be held accountable. The false anonymity is something I avoid just by being me online. I'm not the only one who thinks that anonymity is bad because there are entire countries who ban anonymous tags but most of those countries are authoritarian so kinda puts me in poor company but I digress. So with anonymity and a human urge to destroy or witness the destruction of others people become monsters online.

More than likely its teenagers. But also theres people who get off on that kind of thing. Dont let other peoples pain hurt you. Idk who you are and havent seen your content, but I encourage you to keep going until you dont want to. Dont feel offended. Feel sorry for them. Theres videos out there of some of the nicest stuff that people dump on just because. Youre also attractive, so dont listen to them. Most of these kinds of people project their own pain. But dont get discouraged. You got this! 😊
When there isn't any circumstances, people can be down right cruel and they think it's funny. It isn't, yet it shows the level of maturity of the majority of people.
