I love the possibilty of a twist of the narrative as we are part of nature - humans are called in! Yes, to extract carbon etc out of fear and now we can continue to create in comunication with Life and Nature.
Oh my goodness!!!. How beautiful! Every time I listen to Zach, I feel like my whole being is lifted to a place of love and healing. Goosebumps everywhere. Deep gratitude ❤🙏
Loved watching these ladies on Made in Chelsea, and I always loved Millie's strength and sassyness. Their obvious privilege aside , they are so relatable here. Millie's talking about the bullying she experienced will be helpful to others. I am so glad she and Hugo got together in the end , I used to get so frustrated because they were perfect for each other but Hugo couldn't see it. Glad Millie got her happy ending.
I'd push back against volition rhetoric, and I suspect Dr. Bush would agree to some degree with my point. Yes, a virus isn't a lifeform. But it still can be a mechanistic, energetic, and/or informational cause that interacts with life. Cyanide isn't a lifeform either. Does that stop cyanide from having a direct and powerful affect on living physiology? No. Volition seems irrelevant at that level. It's this narrative of volition that is disconnecting, that decalares that the actor is separate from the acted upon. A virus maybe can't infect without a terrain of immunocompromise. But isn't that the point? Everything is in mutual interrelation, with none of it requireing agentic volition. As far as that goes, I'm more with Robert Sapolsky. Volition doesn't necessarily explain anything at any level. For my own views, I've come to this insight this from decades of meditation. This has increasingly brought me to a Buddhist understanding of the bundle theory of mind. The egoic self is an illusory narrative that falls apart under introspection. There is just lived experience that shifts, an emptiness of insubstantiality. There is no there there. It's dependent co-arising, and hence three is no linear causality or hierarchy of causal agents being required. Though the Buddhists were the first to write about the bundled mind in the ancient world, animistic hunter-gatherers have probably been experiencing the bundled mind (and 4E cognition generally) for a lot longer. Bundling might be the fundamental truth of life, consciousness, and reality. It's simply the recognition that the isolated individual doesn't exist, and that nothing else exists in isolation. Self and reality extends and intertwines within space and time. So, why think of a virus in mere materialistic terms, as if it were just a passive and impotent strand of DNA? A virus is itself a bundle that is capable of bundling with cells within complex bundled ecosystems. Everything is bundlies within bundles ovelrapping with bundles. The body-mind too is a bundle of cells, a bundle of water, energy, light, and info. But also bioenergetic fields extend beyond physical bodies and interacts with other bioenergetic and geoenergetic fields. Hunter-Gatherers have a sense of personal space that includes not only the tribe but also extends into the immediate sensory environment around them. Maybe we shouldn't think atomistically even about atoms, much less viruses. Quantum biology emphasizes this point. But all of this understanding is, for most people, limited to abstraction at best. We need to get to the lived experience, to not only think differently. Until more people can have a visceral experience of the bundled mind and bundled reality, we will continue to feel, think, and act as if the world were not actually living. Even to perceive a virus as non-living matter might be to make ourselves lesser for it. A virus is information, maybe no different than anything else is information, where we know and grok information as the dynamic expression and manifestation of energy, frequencies, resonance, and patterns.
I can’t begin to describe how changed I am after every podcast I listen to with Zach Bush. He gives me a center point from which to grow in this life. God bless and keep you both. ❤
Thank you for this podcast Caggie. I enjoyed it a lot, Charlie is the OG of Lucid Dreaming and everytime i listen to any of his podcast i always take home something new.😊
Hi Mia, unfortunately we only started recording in person from S7. Please keep your eyes peeled for full uncut video interviews for S8 which are launching soon 🤗
Thank you both. Am seriously struggling in the darkest depths of an ED and it's SO refreshing to finally hear someone who has recovered. They never seem to exist IRL and treatment always focuses on those terrifying stats you mention. Never have an opportunity to speak with someone who has recovered, narrative = recovery is that elusive unicorn, the unreachable pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I have tried everything, despair isn't a big enough word to describe it. It's dismissed by the very male medical profession as silly girl wants to be skinny. I'm 51. No-one takes it seriously still. "here have some anti-depressants, they'll help". They don't. Awaiting my Satrun Return 🤞
Why have a child to send them to board aged nine, especially when she was so unhappy? Not even weekly boarding. Her parents weren’t travelling the world from what she says. Of course Millie wondered if there was something wrong with her. Just listen to what it did to Millie psychologically and emotionally. Why put her through that?
I loved you both on made in Chelsea and such a great topic absolutely loved listening to you both. Thank you for a great podcast episode about such important topics that were discussed! Loved the card at the end too ☺️
Thank you for sharing and being vulnerable. Loved listening to your story! I switched schools a few times due to bullying and took me a long time to gain self value. It wasn’t until I became a mother, I have found a new confidence in who I am. So happy to hear you are doing better and thriving! Wish you both all the best x x
