2:44 Just take transit. If you don't like traffic then get out of your car and that's already one less car on the road. Why would you drive everywhere in Seattle?
Definitely on weekends Edmonds is packed, but you can always find great parking everywhere in the downtown area People from all over head to Edmunds every weekend they have a fabulous farmers market on Saturdays They have tons of events, art shows Is the hottest place to go in Seattle They have fabulous, new age, shops, bookstores pottery classes, tons of vintage clothes, tons of beautiful, boutiques, great bakeries you can walk all around historical sites in downtown Edmonds. It’s loaded with people and lots of fun. They have great parks. Also there are a lot of shops, ice cream shops, restaurants, bars, that you can walk along the waterfront with no problem whatsoever. They also have to park right on the water. They have a dog park down there as well. I wouldn’t say it’s a sleepy town at all But nowadays, yes, houses are a lot more expensive and that’s where the rich people move to ! Don’t believe this woman there is no ferry traffic problem whatsoever - it’s kept out of the main part of town - ferry drivers can be in only one lane in and one lane going out and it takes you on the outskirts of town! Rather than listen to this woman check out, Edmonds website it’s loaded with amazing things to do!
I think this woman’s job is to make sure no one moves to Edmonds! First of all, there is no fairy traffic whatsoever. The reason is that there is one lane on the outskirts of town that take you to the ferry. - well right next to those lanes there’s two other lanes that are always wide open to travel into the main center of town! And when the ferry unload, the drivers can only get in one lane out of town and it’s the outskirts of town So essentially if you live downtown Edmonds all streets, you don’t ever run into ferry traffic ! I grew up in Edmonds. I’m 70 years old. But now I live up on Capitol Hill … It takes me 20 minutes to get to downtown Edmonds on Sundays and about 25 minutes on weekdays if I leave at 8 AM or nine But yeah, if you live in Edmonds and you need to work downtown, traffic is definitely backed up - in that case I go the back roads to Ballard and then to downtown Seattle it’s a beautiful drive probably takes me about 40 minutes with no traffic during high traffic
I Love you Western's. I grew up in South Jersey outside of Philly. Crime - Please Nicky Scarfo anybody. Rain - I'm watering my lavender and caucasian fir tree plants every week, really. I can see the Milky Way at night, Oh bloody horrible.
Oh just stop. Really, the weather? Some real estate agent you are. Anywhere in Western Washington deals with rain. I guess you'd be telling people to not move to Forks, or Grays Harbor....What a joke. And yes, Redmond is a family town. So not a con to live here. Redmond is no more expensive than Bellevue, which has always been more expensive. And construction! Oh good grief. There are cranes everywhere in Seattle at all times. I know, I lived in Redmond. My daughter attended the schools which are exceptional. Yep, it's expensive. But like I said, so is everywhere around the area, thanks to Microsoft and all of the California transplants. And im sorry...but your voice goes really monotone when you're trailing off a sentence. Just saying. 🙄
Redmond must be a pretty nice place to live if the worst things are weather and traffic! I’ve got another video of all the pros of Redmond. It sounds like you enjoyed your time living there. Thanks for the comment!
Your assessment of the 'improvements' in the downtown core are completely self-serving. Anchor businesses are still leaving in droves. Open drug use is unchanged. Homelessness caused by drug addiction is worse. Crime has not improved. Sales and property taxes are still extremely high. The city is still poorly managed. Leadership are still failures. Go sell ice to Eskimos.
Drivers and traffic being bad are just city things. Seattle isn’t special in this regard. Everyone always says their city or town has the worst drivers.
It is TERRIBLE! You will hate it. Prices! Homelessness. People using the streets as a bathroom. Drugs and more drugs. And they are big on the whole LBQGT movement 🤢 it's a dump. The one thing she highlights is the greenery 😂
🌿Thank you for sharing the beautiful and informative video of Bellevue! The quality and content are truly exceptional, and it's clear that you have a deep understanding of the area's unique charm. Also a fan of Bellevue's natural beauty, restaurants, and parks, but I've come to realize that Mill Creek may very well be the ultimate suburban oasis. Mill Creek's unique blend of amenities and lifestyle is hard to beat. In fact, you'd typically only find this level of luxury and convenience in downtown Kirkland, possibly NW Woodway, and select Bellevue neighborhoods near Lake Washington. So, what specifically sets Mill Creek apart? Most Mill Creek residents can easily access a range of desirable amenities and destinations by WALKING along our BEAUTIFUL SIDEWALKS or by biking along a scenic private paved hiking trail, to their destination: • Top-rated schools • Cafes, restaurants with patios, and gourmet grocery stores • Fitness centers, private golf course, and country club • Swim and tennis clubs, pickle ball and tennis courts, and beautifully maintained parks, and nature preserves with over 23 miles of PRIVATE paved trails • Exquisite neighborhoods featuring homes by Murray Franklyn and the Buchan Family Only 23-28 minutes away from the Technology Hubs in downtown Seattle and Bellevue, Mill Creek shares similar commute times with Sammamish, Bothell, and Issaquah, it's an attractive alternative your clients might appreciate. I'd love for you to experience Mill Creek's charm firsthand (especially the Country Club neighborhoods) and see why it's a hidden oasis that's worth discovering. 🏡 Did I mention? Mill Creek offers a very similar SAFETY PROFILE to the top cities in King and Snohomish counties, including Sammamish. This can be verified through the following government provided crime maps, which may be MORE ACCURATE THAN searching Niche.com kingcounty.maps.arcgis.com/apps/dashboards/edcc4d563a3f4a38a106ad1b0c278430 🌎 snohomishcountywa.gov/236/Community-Crime-Map

While I didn’t feel too safe in Renton, everyone’s experience might not be the same. With that being said living near the landing was pretty great location. Near shops, movie theater, petsmart. They also hold events every year for the Seahawks training camp. Having top golf near by was great too. I also heard they’re making a winco close to target. Definitely way more affordable than Bellevue.
Last Mayor of Renton Armondo Pavone And in Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan is Last Both and all Mayor"s in Washington state will be not Longer in April 2025 Me Even Norm Rice those to names also but in April 2025 I Will Mayor of My Washington State Like old New York City Mayor Eric Adams that I am Also I have 254% Names 😊😊😊😊
Yes. Stay away! That would be the best possible thing. Born here and would never live anywhere else. Sure things have changed. Name me one place that hasn't.
Seattle sucks. People sucks and the safety sucks. Unless you are married and making tech salary. Don't come unless you like to be isolated. Parks are filled with homeless people.
Almost all of your B-roll in this video is a lie. White Center is a murder filled dump. It’s not “up and coming”. It’s getting worse all the time. There’s shootings everyday.
Seattle was my dream city for a solid 10 years. I still hope to visit one day. It's just bizarre that progressive ideals are stated as a con, almost a warning. That feels distinctly anti progress/ive
No pros unless your very wealthy otherwise you will live in a box and depend on the welfare system and there is lots of welfare dependents in that dump.
There has been a massive influx of very wealthy Chinese immigrants to Bellevue, Bellevue is now almost a Chinese enclave, if you go for a walk or go to the parks you are going to hear Chinese spoken more than 90% of any other language, and Indian is probably the second instead of English.
You guys are great, maybe more pov ,and I wish you guys knew more about the hood. I would of added a long time resident to your stroll.,they could explain all the history and places. You two are still discovering the eureka yourselves.
I grew up in Seattle… I moved away… I tried to move back…. Seattle really sucks compared to the rest of the nation. But! It is beautiful 3 days outta the year.
Why do I fantasize every day about moving away from Seattle? Out-of-control high population density, cars everywhere; cold, unfriendly people; more corporate now than quirky, the libtardia is flagrant, obnoxious; pollution; and more...Why have I not left yet? Extended family, kids, good employment, girlfriend, and the natural beauty of the Puget Sound area.
I lived in North Seattle from late 90's to 2011, just blocks from the Seattle/Shoreline city border - N 145th St. Fair assesment overall, though I wasn't aware of the propensity for power outages, but it makes sense. I lived between Aurora Ave N and I-5 (near Meridian Ave N) - I didn't see any of the affects of Aurora Ave N/Hwy-99/ 'the strip' in my immediate neighborhood , but the concerns are well founded. Lots of nefarious activity is conducted along Hwy99... but I always felt it 'cleaned up' a bit north of N 145th St - Shoreline's southern border with Seattle. Shoreline's Hwy99 improvements - adding the plant filled meridian in the road, and adding the sidewalks did add to an atmosphere of a nicer environment, especially compared to the neglected state of Hwy99 in Seattle.
Seems lip addressing Lake Forest Park along with Shoreline would make sense since they are essentially the same community and parts of the same school district.
She just wants everyone to think Seattle, I live east of Bellevue and it’s where we go for the mall to shop, the Korean and Japanese markets are there too. Some really good restaurants also. There are bars, just not the big nightclubs. The whole Seattle metro area is just expensive to rent or own. You need to drive about 20 miles south or further for affordable housing. The light rail, really is designed to handle the north/south traffic volume, in ad out of Seattle, the Eastside link was done to help the large number of Microsoft employees who may live in Seattle. It does little to deal with the traffic issues on I-405. If you can afford Bellevue or east to Sammamish, it’s much better than the issues in Seattle metro.
