I remember watching this game when I was 10. A whole roller coaster of emotions, but it was a good time to be a Chicago fan. The Hawks were in their dynasty, and just three years later the Cubs would win the world series breaking the 108 year drought. What a time to be alive!
5:30 5:31 5:32 5:33 5:34 5:35 5:36 5:37 5:38 5:39 5:40 5:41 They beat or have been eliminated the Boston Bruins here tonight in Boston! - The final score of Game 6 of 2013 Stanley Cup Final - The Blackhawks 3 and the Bruins 2 😊😊😊😊
I was 16, a huge storm rolled through and knocked our power out, my dad rounded the whole family up in the car and turned the game on the radio, we drove into town and parked in a restaurants parking lot, and watched this moment on a tv through the window of a sports bar, with the radio playing. I’ll never forget it.
I'm a 71 year old former defenseman , and Bruins Fan and I'd like to know why nobody plays the body and nobody looks in front of the net ? They are BOSTON Bruins , right ? Why isn't somebody on their ass ?
Now that we know what we know about the Chicago Blackhawks organization, watching these old highlights of them winning Stanley Cups is beyond sickening...
Me and my dad and my little brother watching this game. I can remember us saying “it’s okay we still got game 7 to end them” and almost immediately the hawks scored and we were losing our minds running around the house my dad was picking us up and throwing us and catching us like toys, and before we can even finish celebrating our game-tying goal bolland came up and scored again and then we were calling our grandparents (also hawk fans) losing our minds tears down the face is if we just scored the goal ourselves. Didn’t even watch the last bit until the final seconds to watch the Blackhawks spill over the boards… watched 3 cups and 2013 was easily the best year.
As of 01/16/24, I’ve been to the last 316 KU men’s home games in Allen Fieldhouse in a row. And this game will always be the greatest game I’ve ever been to. No other game will ever come close to challenging it.
I can't believe its been 10+ years. I was in college at the time (in Chicago), and I had turned 21 during the Western Conference Final against LA. I was at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Lincoln Park. Everybody was still standing and going wild from Bickell's goal when Bolland scored. The streets on the north side were crazy that night.
2 phantom fouls. KU favor...of course. Just look at the free throw attempts. 1 at end of regulation...bogus, and then end of OT. Those should never decide the outcome...TWICE!
Big thing I remember about this series is how sick of Boston I was after the Bombing and how self righteous that entire town was for like a whole year after that shit. Needless to say this one felt good
