Hey, thanks so much for this rig run down. I've had the HX Stomp for some time, but I am just starting to integrate it in my chain (replacing the classic Zoom B3 :) ). I did get the Stomp exactly for the reason to run my analog drives in a FX loop, which also is high passed, so I retain the lowest octave. It works great like that. Can you help me figure out your signal path though - I am not sure if I get where the Micro Synth and the MXR Octave are. So it's Tuner ->Cali76->MXR Octave->Micro Synth->DCX Drive->HX Stomp where the FX Loop with the Kilt seems to be the first one in that chain...?
Bro, with both you and david having V1 kilts, yall are gonna make me act up and make some bad financial decisions 🤧 Great video bro! I love your sense of humor and the way you explain everything!
love your chorus tone bro! What are the kind of settings you use on it to get it so smooth? I've been tinkering back and forth with my Walrus Julia Chorus and sometimes it just has too much movement in the signal, and not quite the "texture-y" and colorful vibe that i'm going for.
Love your videos man. I've learned plenty from them. As well as David Funks stuff. Just saw that before yours actually. Both of you guys have beautiful sounds. Also yeah they suck but... Go boys.
Thoughts on the hx stomp Noble preamp model they have in the software? Does it sound similar or would you still recommend getting a real one for 2 grand?
@@brycevaughn8151 Why must every worship bassist have almost the exact same board?!? And play similarly? Creativity and originality are some of the most important aspects of music, IMO. Kudos to you for not having a Tone Hammer, lol. Again, tasty playing, Bryce.
@@bassace854Its kinda like a greed for stuff that the top worship musicians have, we want to have lol. Since we already know it sounds good, we just want it. That’s why it all sounds the same, BUT tbh I’ve never really heard a tone like Bryce’s until I started listening to his vids.
@@bassace854 I mean besides the mixcrosynth, this isn’t like anyone else’s board? People in similar genres pull from each other and their sounds, so of course something might be close. Don’t let it keep ya up at night though!
God bless bro could you give a quick tutorial on how to trigger other pedals with the stomp like how you did on the kilt. I’ve looked everywhere but can’t figure out how
Hey Bryce, been watching your videos and reels for a while from the Philippines, just wondering what your thoughts are about using a compressor and a preamp on the signal chain, and which one should go first after the tuner. Thanks and God bless.
Hey John, anyone can correct me if there is a better way but usually the rule of thumb for bass signal chain in reference to the options you mentioned: Tuner -> Compressor -> Preamp 👍🏼
@@josearroyo8419 that is exactly my current setup. I was thinking of switching the comp and preamp around or just taking out the comp altogether. We usually play Bethel and Elevation stuff on a Sunday and I have been giving a thought of adding additional pedals. But thanks for the tip, I wasn't wrong all this time 😂
I also use your synth and BKLN BOARD packs ( they rock🤙) but I feel as if I need to adjust a few things so that it fits my bass and have no idea how to do that without messing the settings up
