Has there ever been a more modest, humble and authentic singer than Dave Dobbyn? He makes me wish I was from New Zealand as the grass seems greener over the side of our neighbour's fence (Australia). Sadly Australians seem to becoming more Americanised than any other influence from overseas. Dave's album Loyal remains in my top ten favourite albums (I own over 3000). He speaks directly to the listener without any crap. So I'll be loyal and love him like I should.

I grew up on the English version. Love it. Heard the te reo version a few weeks ago on spotify for the first time. I didn’t even realise until today that it is actually Sir Dave singing it in te reo and not a cover. Impressive! 👌🏼
