@@baba.sattva You're very welcome :-) I'm glad I was able to help That's why I love making videos is to help people out thank you for leaving your kind comment
@@outersketcher You burn it until it stop smoking once it stops smoking you know it's done. Just make sure that your muffler is steel or stainless steel if it's aluminum or made out of a composite material you don't want to burn it
THANK YOU KENNY!! I was just looking for information to help my fiend overseas he had problem with the full pump . I’m here in USA . Take some Eucalyptus tea at least once a day and shall help , if can find the leaves from the grocery store Att: hope
@@ils360 I have the Cub Cadet Big Country version of this. I bought the machine (the engine was supposedly rebuilt) It idles okay and was running fair but has since lost power. I'm not sure if it is fuel/carb related or clutch/ belt related
@@ronskeeters4319 what are the symptoms? One of the ways to test if it's carburetor related is to slowly pull the choke out and see if the problem gets better if it starts to gain power and run better with the choke and pulled it then it's a carburetor issue
@@ils360 Thank you for the info, I will certainly try that. I don't have to explain to you these are "slow lumbering" machines anyway. It seems as it should be going to higher rpm's to not only fall on its face but to decline in power as well. That make sense??
@@ronskeeters4319 yeah that does make sense It sounds like a carburetor issue there are different sections of the carburetor One is for idling the engine and the other one is for accelerating (simple explanation) And if one or the other gets plugged it will either idle great and not take off or only run while under load and won't idle I would definitely try pulling the choke while you're driving and see if that changes it if it does then the carburetor will need to be cleaned out. There's a possibility of a plugged fuel filter or failing fuel pump as well but I bet you it's the carburetor
I found this video one day too late.. but i still watched it to make sure i didnt miss anything. I got a tip from an old mechanic that id like to add here: Before cracking it up, run it in a ultrasonic cleaner at 70'c for a couple of hours. This makes the gaskets come loose easier. This video works just as good for a yamaha grizzly 350 2007. Also behind the cap you didnt open there is a springpressured steelball that can get clogged. This prevents the atv from backfiring when you turn it off. Thumbs up..
@@dancollins2546 The carburetor ended up working out great you can see in the video that it doesn't start but that was due to a scored up cylinder I didn't know about. After I put a new cylinder on it I tuned that carburetor and it works great no issues Just make sure you run ethanol free fuel through diaphragm carburetors The ethanol will eat them.
Thanks for the video! I am doing shocks on my 4runner and ran into the same issue you had with the front lower bracket being barely too narrow to fit the new shock. You gave me the confidence to just bend it out barely yo get them to fit.
I unhook the shocks and lifted the body up off of the axle It actually gives enough room to pull the springs out without having to compress them. If you're not able to do that though I'm sure you could jack up the rear end as high as you can put it on jack stands take the tires off and see if that gives you enough room that way
@@Bruskoll yeah I made an update video on the transmission issue I think the video is called transmission can we fix it or something like that It ended up being a clogged filter after doing a service on it that came back to life and has been great ever since though now I'm starting to have issues getting it past local emissions I think the cheap catalytic converter it's not working out.
@@ils360 I’m currently loosing power on my 87 4x4. It losses RMPs and the check engine light flashing on when it happens. My gas gauge on the dash is not accurate. Hopefully when I replace the fuel pump It will fix the lose in power and now stalling. The battery, spark plugs boots and distributor are new. Currently rewatching your video of the injector replacement.
@@Bruskoll have you tried checking your codes yet? All you have to do is stick a wire in a specific plug underneath the seat I've actually got a switch plumbed into mine just in case a light comes up while I'm driving... Definitely not checking them while driving 😉 It could also be a throttle position sensor or your mass vein sensor or whatever it's called I can't remember does your problem happen all the time or just once in awhile?
Will (Toro part number 144-6377 traction assist handle kit) (for new Toro Time Master mowers) fit on new Toro AWD 21472 mower? Both have same mounting holes and baby carriage shape.
I learned a lot from your video. Perfect pace and explanations. Sure wanted to clean off that grime. Really good tips on revitalizing the start pull cord. Thanks!
When installing the new the bell crank back into the bracket is there a special process since you had to use a press to remove it? I’m curious because I’m doing the same process and I’m going to send it in as well !
Nope No special process of putting it back on Just put it in place and torque it down. Make sure to keep on the company to get the part back It took them far too long to get mine done but they're the only place to get it done.
Gotta love the good old youtube videos! I swear by running 32:1 and have never seen a seized motor or fouled plug. And run 12:1 in my old af lawnboy that says 16:1 lol they love it! Probably also helps they get a seafoam treatment every year.
Thank you :-) I'm glad you enjoy the old RU-vid videos thankfully they are still here and still helping people out with things. I also swear by using 32:1 there are a few newer things that I will run 40:1 but nothing lighter than that. Thank you for leaving a comment I really appreciate it
Yep it is my avatar that was actually done by RU-vid back in the day when avatars became a thing they picked your most popular video at the time and used a screenshot of it. I wonder if it's the same story for the person with the windmill. And yes all these years later I still read my comments and still comment back whenever I'm able 😁
Help. The placement of this spark plug really is horrible. I dropped it inside while putting the new one in. There is no space for your hands in there. What can I do? I heard it go down, but I can't see or reach anything
Oh shoot! You know what I remember doing the same thing and if I remember right I fished it out with a magnet on the end of a wire or one of those mechanic extendable magnet things.
After doing the repair I found some documentation on the engine side of it. I've got a PDF of it somewhere. Best thing you can do is open up all the spark plug holes and put a mixture of diesel and marvel mystery oil down there before you start anything I'll let it soak for a week or two
Just the video I was needing to see. I just bought a 24ft 5th wheel camper. Only had the floor left on it. I removed that but was wondering how to Put the wood down. The angle iron sides made the light bulb turn on.
I'm glad I was able to help :-) I've done a couple trailer conversions now and honestly enjoy doing them I am going to come out with more of this series hopefully soon finishing up the lighting the electric brakes and building drive over fenders from scratch.
@@ils360 you don't want the wind to be too strong unless the fans are in a circular formation, you should also try it outside since I have never seen a video of someone creating a dust devil outside
@@Im_gone_if_this_cloud_appears thank you I appreciate the sub :-) I always try to write back to every message I see. And if I don't see it I blame it on RU-vid lol
That welding wire NR 211MP is not suitable for this especially since this should be considered structural welding, I would have used something like E71T (GS) or (11) if you wanted to do multi pass not that it was needed but it all depends on the strength you look gor your welds.
That is a vent hose there's normally a hole in the plastic near the steering column that it goes into it doesn't plug into anything. Just make sure you have one it helps keep rain and water out on the gas.
Mini craftsman tiller. I took the carborater off cleaned it but the screws won't screw back in. I would like a diagram how it goes back together. Thanks
Good video! I wish I had your expertise! I have a 1988 van, electrical short. All systems working, turns over but won't start. Just put in a new computer, didn't help. Advertising it on Facebook Marketplace (atlanta) for $1,500. Hate to let it go!
Does it have spark? Try spraying some starting fluid or carburetor cleaner in the intake and see if it fires. After you figure out whether you're missing spark or fuel it's pretty easy to figure out what it needs
@@ils360 Thanks! I have spark and fuel. I can't seem to find the intake, although I took the large rubber hose off that goes to the breather, and sprayed some starting fluid in there, but don't think it actuall made it to the engine. I don't know if I can remove an injector and try going that way? I have my owners manual, but it doesn't show where the intake is. Maybe, the injectors are clogged, but don't know how to clean those either. I think I hit a big chuckhole, and maybe knocked some rust or debris loose from the gas tank, which clogged something up. Just a theory.
@@denniscoburn6251 shut off after hitting a bump? Hmmm 🤔 I almost wonder if something didn't come unplugged. Do you share your fuel pump cycle when you turn the key on or turn it over? Hard to do I know have somebody turn it over with your ear near the open gas tank and see if you can hear a fuel pump.
Thanks again for replying to me! I checked the fuel pump and it was working and definitely pumping fuel to the intake, but still no start. Anyway, I have dedided to give up. I think the injectors may be clogged or need to be replaced, or something else that's too complicated for me. So, I am going to sell it for the best offer on Facebook marketplace. Sad, but time to move on. Thanks!
@@denniscoburn6251 no problem I love to help people. I do have a video how to clean the tank and replace injectors if you don't end up selling it. But I'm glad you got to experience one of these awesome vans! They are so fun! ☺️
