Great preventative box! (4/27 Zone 6a CNY ) frost turned my newly leafed out hostas transparent damaged looking…any advice on what I can do to save them after they were hit with frost? Any way to salvage for this season?
Ok I know this is probably a stupid question but am I supposed to keep them on a plate out of the fridge correct? & thabk you for this aways tip, all the strawberries ice been getting from the store are bright red but hard an dry on the inside, I hope this works!! 🤞🏼 I see alt of positive feed back so my hopes are high 🫣🤗🤭
This is horrible information! Cold temperatures among other nutrient deficiencies can easily cause purple in the stems and other symptoms. Purple in the stems is actually no reason for concern at all generally.
@@rockwithface I’ve been in the nursery business for 25 years. Still in it. I’ve never used pgrs of any type. I own my business so I can make this choice. With that said I have seen these symptoms you are describing many times in my own plants.
@@rockwithface to be clear I have no problem with pgrs being used properly. I personally don’t use them because my operation is small enough that they are not needed. But with that said the info that u put in this video is just plain wrong. While it’s possible that that could have been an over application of pgr it is highly unlikely. A correct application would certainly not lead to yellowing and most large outfits aren’t into the business of over applying expensive chemicals. If I had to guess what those plants are suffering from it would be a deficiency in phosphorus but that would be a guess. If you are going to make a video like this the proper way to do it would be to take a tissue sample and then post the results.
thank you so much! that worked in getting my stuck valve to close shut! other videos were mentioning swapping the internals or the whole valve and scared the crap outta me, but yours did the trick!
I bought a few lbs of stratified seed and I planted some of it at one of my locations I never got to plant the other location. If I just keep it in the fridge I can plant in the spring ?
No roots coming out, the ground has some snow on it and is not fully frozen but ground is hard. I might put em out in the next day or two. Have you ever heard of putting seeds on frozen ground ? Timing for me was not ideal this year.
Replacing the handle (at least) is easy. Just get a replacement (usually 2-3 dollars). Get a metal one, btw. Unscrew the plastic handle (or what's left of it) then put the new one back on.
Looks good. Nice work. But do you know the difference between a beam and column. Beams are horizontal -- Columns are vertical I Semantics, I know, but the devil is in the details
