Love your take on the Santana captain. They ruined a fun card. Give us more good captains we actually want to use. Make the team captains players we want to use too. No way I’m using Ozzie Smith.
What is with these tiny 40 & 50 point mini programs? Programs used to be 100 points at the smallest, but often 150 & 200 points. I dont get it. Its not like they dont have the last 10 years of games to refer to, and see past standards, and be inspired by past ideas. Then there are the rewards...which are ridiculous. The big program reward is a Larry Walker that is MUCH worse than the one we already have. Is the dev team made up of non players? Is anyone paying attention? That seems like a pretty careless mistake...or is it apathy? I just dont understand why SDS has completely regressed into a barely functional studio. This game is one long disappointment. The Show 24 is going to be dead shortly after July 4th if nothing changes...and i have two tons of trouble believing it will. *sigh* -- But Sony is excited to announce its partnership with an organization that provides free services to gay illegal immigrants with AIDS -- NO seriously. Its on Sony's Twitter. Screw the customers, they got activism to do. Thanks dude.
Underwhelmed doesn’t begin to tell the story. Let’s see, last Friday completed the program, complained all day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday as I tried to excite myself into playing some games for XP. Tuesday rolls around and we get a program we get done in about and hour and a half (including making and eating dinner) for a 92 Larry Walker which we yes, had a 99 we had to grind our asses off for in season 1 that we can’t use. This game gets worse for me each week. I keep playing because I paid for it but wow, it’s hard.
I've been playing a bit but it's been purely fueled by trying to get better at the game and almost nothing else. I started with '22 and it's painfully obvious how unfriendly the game is with XP (especially season 1, season 2 has been better but somewhat propped up by double XP weekends) and free content compared to previous years. Hell, even the programs and content we do get are pretty bland, short, and uninspired compared to what I played in the past few years. I went back to try '21 for the first time and it's wild how many different kinds of programs there were. In '24 it's been mostly Awards Drops. It's not all bad, I like the gameplay for the most part and trying to improve and that's why I keep playing but I feel like the game as a whole is not moving in a good direction. It's hard to explain but playing '24 feels different than playing '22 and even '23 but not in a good way. I've already taken two extended breaks from playing and one of them was for over a month in season 1. Really screwed myself there because I thought "Surely they'll drastically increase XP gains in the next few weeks because it's so bad right now" and it really set me back when it came to the season reward path.
IMO the Main Program was excruciatingly long and a grudge to work through. Excepting this 4-5 day lull, I play every day, multiple games. I do all the programs. All the Team Affinity. All the Conquest. About the only thing I DON'T do is online/pvp items. But otherwise I play multiple hours a day. And Yes, I did play more on double-xp periods. I have the Live series done and achieved the first ... whatever the higher pack thing is (not the boss packs) in the S1 program (there are 3 of them, I got the 1st). And I have all but the main uniform collections done. Not to say 100% full on everything, but enough that it "completes" the collections. So yeah. I put in my time. With that said, I BARELY got the first boss pack! It wasn't until the re-cap program and the buckets of XP they dished out that I was able to complete the Main Program. If not for that - I wouldn't have. (And *only* because of that do I actually have this lull, since I'm finally done and see no need to grind the loop). And based on how much I play ... IMO that's a problem. Because even though I certainly wouldn't call myself hard core, I definitely play more than a casual player. I barely scraped across the finish line. More casual players probably didn't even get a boss pack.
I have almost 400 Ranger Suarez’s imma likely have 1.5 million stubs day one of season two…. and yet I’m not really excited (rant time be patient lol) -events are boring and unoriginal -ranked seasons is just facing the Santana boost over and over again -mini seasons takes too long, has too many cutscenes, and is boring and not rewarding enough -conquest is obviously not something to play consistently -BR rewards are ruined with the random 10 win reward that you can’t see, and flawless is a really impossible thing for the average player to get anyway -most people have storylines done, and while it’s cool, it’s not really rewarding either -gameplay has many flaws, like smaller pci on sliders in the strike zone, players faces messing up because of small updates, too many very late/very early swings for hits, foul balls are really bad, batters eye is on the field for some reason, etc… -co-op sucks, with too many glitches and issues, like having a cool down timer of an hour when your opponent leaves the game and you get the loss for some reason. -the content structure is WAY too pack-centric -not enough other programs and stuff for offline players to do -until recently not enough packs in programs -collections are really hard for NMS players -XP reward path for me was a grind, I played 160 hours in season one and only spun the wheel three times (about 2 hrs/day) -having a team affinity every month is a hell of a grind, and isn’t something that offline players want to be the PRIMARY/ONLY thing they can really play
My game had some kind of error. I was only able to collect 245 season 1 cards, but the game registered that I collected 283 and gave me the packs for those levels. I counted the cards and I only have 245, so not sure what happened or if it will mess something up later.
I mean I played probably an hour or two every day since release aside from double xp weekends and I’ve finished the xp track and gotten probably 3 bonus rolls
I'm at where I'm at in XP and TA for three reasons. 1. I basically took a week off right when TA 3 launched cause I was playing other games with my friends. 2 I don't play online as much as probably should as a “content creator” 3. My job is in the tech/entertainment field which leads to busier weekends vs the weekdays. Hopefully, that clears up my lack of rewards lol
I don't understand why your barely half way done with TA and not only 75% with xp path do you have a regular job? Now I didn't think I would finish but easy after the last double xp and tge recap and tops
@@713db7I'd agree, at least something especially for guys like me that will very rarely play ranked seems like for me only way to tier up is play cpu against the A's or Washington and score 25 plus runs and seems stupid because I play casual mostly because I'm not good enough and the match ups suck got stuck with 700 ranked and I haven't even hit 200 fuck sake 6-0 by the 2nd Inning so I give up before it even gets started
Im 60 years old retired living in Asia, SDS hates the working class, family man why not make it a weekly cap not daily, i have done every program, every TA even bought 30 card for sets im just pass 250 at CC the pitcher, this is m y second year playing last year i got 2 set collections naturally never bought a card, except tge ones i wanted like Mickey, still no stub sale? Why? Is it because tge closed the London division and lost 8% of sonys work force 40,000 people company greed? What happens when season 2 starts we cant use season 1 cards? Except tge wild card? So the grind starts over? Stop being a dictator use any card you want to play with working class people with wife and kids have no time
So you can't use season 1 cards at all? What if you meaning me don't play ranked or Br just casual I can't use season 1 I have to grind all over again?
