Seraphic Music is the shared name of the various aliases Kalle Windefalk uses in the various projects he is involved with
Kalle began as a 13-year-old to experiment with music by accident when he found Pro-Tracker on a diskette that came along his second hand Amiga 1000. Random notes were laid out in hope for a good result. At the age of 14 he started to play the guitar and wrote Metallica covers in Pro-Tracker. When the family got their first PC, Kalle moved on to the 32-channel tracker program Fasttracker 2 where he wrote music under the name "Chronicle". It wasn't until he heard DJ Tiesto's Magik album from a friend that he began to write electronic dance music. Still in Fasttracker 2 but along with some new soft synths like Rubber Duck and RB-338 that were coming. In 2000 Kalle discovered Propellerheads' Reason and became obsessed with the world of synthesizers. During the second half of 2001 Kalle moved to Australia where he was involved in writing film music for some sch
@@autumnbrushtail I have a Supernova II and I just don't hear it the way you do. Nice sounds for sure. To me, nothing unique or magnificent. Almost Roland JD800ish.
@@DavidChatterton-j6b not everything needs to be unique or magnificent. I'm looking at it from the perspective of someone who doesn't have that many synths to choose from. It can do what they want. I, myself have an Edirol SD-80 and I'm trying to make trance oriented sounds with that. It's not anything groundbreaking by any means, but it's my most suitable synth for the task and it's a fun exercise otherwise. And maybe I could release said sounds when I'm done with it and then other folks who have the same thing can use them too
@@DavidChatterton-j6b Yeah, but most people who have a SuperNova haven't got a JD800. Which, BTW, sound nothing like a SuperNova. The JD800 is a rompler. The SuperNova is a subtractive virtual analogue. Bck to synth school for you, matey. x
Hi! Sorry! Forgot to update link. Now the soundset is on sale here auraplugins.com/product/elektron-sid-station-soundset-byte-the-dust/ Thanks for the interest. :). I’m really jelous since my own sid station is broken :(
Thanks Yossi! There’s an install txt file included in the bank zip file. I’ll paste it here :) Elektron C6 (Sysex, PC and Mac) www.elektron.se/support-and-downloads 1. Press Config button 2. Set MIDI in/out port 3. Press Load button and choose the sysex file 4. Press Send SysEx Librarian (SysEx and MIDI for MAC) www.snoize.com/SysExLibrarian/ 1. Press the "Add..." button in the lower-left corner of the window, and choose the .syx file you want to transfer. (You can also drag the file directly into the list from the Finder.) 2. In SysEx Librarian's toolbar, there's a pop-up menu named "Destination". Click it and choose the MIDI port that you want to send to. (It's probably named something like "Port 1" or "Port A", it depends on your MIDI interface. "Act as a source for other programs" is NOT what you want.) 3. Click the file in the list to select it 4. Press the "Play" button
You can import the patches but there are some differences. I can’t find the comparison chart Novation had. Here is a comparison between Supernova and Supernova II support.novationmusic.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207563145-What-is-the-difference-between-the-Supernova-and-Supernova-II-

Thanks :). I forgot to add the new link :). Here is the link seraphicmusic.sellfy.store/p/aurora-borealis-soundset-for-novation-ks-4-5-rack/ …and thanks again :)
Amazing I had my Head phones on and it sent shivers down my spine. Thank you so much I loved it I own a Novation ultra nova and love that but after hearing this I just couldn't help but buy myself one .
Man, this was beautiful. Really nice sounds and playing. Would these work for the X Station ? I'm not sure but in the X's manual they used KS interchangeably with the X on some pages, so I'm thinking the X is based on this or something.
Hi Adam! Thank you so much for your kind words. Actually the X station seem to be compatible with the KS patches according to Novations compatibility chart here support.novationmusic.com/hc/en-gb/articles/206865169-A-Station-K-Station-V-Station-X-Station-Xio-and-KS-Series-patch-compatibility
@@kallewindefalk5822 You're welcome and thanks for the reply and the info. I came across that chart just before I commented but didn't even read what it said. Now I know. Thanks.
Hi Lars! Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work according to this Novation article support.novationmusic.com/hc/en-gb/articles/206865169-A-Station-K-Station-V-Station-X-Station-Xio-and-KS-Series-patch-compatibility
Hi. Sorry for late reply. The soundset is one whole bank so it will overwrite one whole bank if you import it as is. You need an KS editor to cherry-pick sounds from my soundset and consolidate with an existing bank. Found this at Novation “The X-Station Editor Patch Librarian is capable of loading sounds from the other following Novation units: K-Station KS (programs only)” support.novationmusic.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207563155-How-can-I-load-patches-into-my-X-Station-
I also have the KS5 :). If you are on mac I recommend sysex librarian for sending data to your KS5. Here is a quick start instruction www.snoize.com/SysExLibrarian/docs.html Thanks for the support :)
@@Seraphicmusic Thank You very much. Unfortunately (in this case :) ) i am on a PC. I will contact Novation directly. Best wishes and leaving a "like", Chris
Then I would recommend Elektron C6 for Win users. Here’s a direct download link www.elektron.se/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Elektron_C6_MAC_AND_WIN_1.51.zip :). I think the instructions is in the zip.
This tune was originally composed by an Amiga cracking group, Anthrox from the UK. Edit: Oh damn! I've just made a mistake. People says that the tune was composed by Clever Music (Graham Jarvis and Rob Hartshorne) under the alias of Mike Alsop. Anthrox just used it in Amiga cracktros.
Lol I made the same mistake when trying to figure out the origin of this track because I first heard it on the Razor 1911 demo called Red. But a few months later, finally found the original, and then this remix too :)
Nice that even in 2020 the KS is still a worthy synth ! I really love mine. Great that there are people putting effort to bring these "oldies" to life again. Revival of digital ? after all that analog from the last years :-))
@@Syndrome-X i know the feeling. i sold my KS5 a while back in favour of a nord lead 3 and regretted it - the NL3 interface is amazing, shame I never really connected with the sound. eventually bought a KS rack and now thinking of selling the NL3 to get a novation peak or summit... but, also thinking of selling the KS as might then be redundant? not sure if I'll go through with that though, they might complement each other...
I love my Nord Lead 3. The sound quality is surgically clean. Maybe that’s why people think it’s thin in its sound but every sound sits perfectly in every mix. Use it for bass and leads. I made two sound banks for the Nord Lead 3. soundcloud.app.goo.gl/bAAynvumWbomaesj7 soundcloud.app.goo.gl/hmDUCv9TuTGy8cBK8
@@Seraphicmusic yeah surgically clean is a good description. i don't think it's a bad synth at all, it's just the general sound character doesn't GRAB me in the way that some other synths do. i really wish it did, because the interface is amazing. i do really appreciate it for its ability to sit in the mix and I find it good to layer with other things, but I find myself thinking that space could be used for something else (physical space, I don't have much of it). I've actually heard your demos, some nice sounds there :)
