COVID 19 caused us to change the way we do adventures! Decided to spend more time outdoors exploring the great state of Arkansas! Best decision EVER! From waterfalls to mountain vistas, along with a fishing trip here or there and so much wildlife, Arkansas truly is the Natural State! Come along and enjoy this journey with us! We’d be glad to have you along for the ride! It is the Arkansas way!
It is! Man, if I’d had the equipment back then that I have now( back then being a $50 Wally World Special)! I am slowly revisiting these locations carrying over $3k in equipment. Regardless, the beauty is unreal!
@@wannabeadventures not sure. I drove to within a quarter mile of it via a rough gravel road. It’s about a half mile or so across the river from and situated halfway between Grapevine Campground and Elm Campground. Coords roughly are 34.12968, -94.70840
Sort of, but no. However, I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Suzie has developed knee issues and is adjusting to bifocals and moderate hiking is mostly in her rear view mirror now. But, I had been here with Gez before, so I took her to the top. Four vehicles had parked as we were walking in. I wanted to beat them thinking they would head to the bottom. They were all from Oklahoma and didn’t know anything so they ended up at the top with us. I stood there at the top talking to them. I sent them on along to Scarsdale falls with info, and told them how to get back under Fern. Suzie and I were leaving the grotto when they met us underneath it! I shared my love with them!
It’s my other facebook page. It was what failed as I tried to share my love of bridges with others. The bridges were part of my true live, finding waterfalls and cool things to see in Arkansas and the surrounding areas. I found a new use for that page after I created Bridges of Arkansas. The journey to the destination can offer so much if we are willing to let it!
Oh I see now that I can't post. I completely understand why. I'm more happy knowing it's your group than anything. I leave alot of groups because they are not managed properly. I respect you and the admins of BOA..
Enjoyed that very much, I love all elements of nature. Just wish each shot stayed on a couple of seconds longer so I could get a good look at them. I do appreciate you taking the time to display your photos. Thank you❤
Sure! Google map Search Turner Bend Store in Arkansas. It is 100 yards behind/South of the store! Be sure to visit the store and buy something as you will have to use their parking lot. Also, wait till it rains 2 inches or more within 12 hours here to see it like this.
I use to go here as a kid and want to see this place stay alive. A bigger presence on social media would do this business well if executed correctly. Good luck
It takes like five minutes to hike to it. I wandered around for half of that .8 miles. There is another viewing platform for cedar falls here but I didn’t feel like the five foot rock climb as there was no one to help me up it this time.
Early this summer we visited Falling Water Falls. Being able to dive and park right by it was great. We enjoyed watching kids jump off a rope attached to the tree in the video into the water while seeing the water fall right next to them. Simply amazing!
We are fairly new to Arkansas and have only experienced one winter so far. The scenery in this video along the roads and throughout is so pretty. Never knew trees could be beautiful without the leaves driving down a road until now. That is the largest spillway we have ever seen. Loved the whole presentation.
The entire video is a birdseye view of beauty. We would love to walk that bridge and hear the water coming down the rocks. Thank you for taking us along.
