Not exactly. The AT comes close to it at the top, but it is still a far bushwhack from the trail.

Do you know if there is a trail between jackson falls and bells smith springs or is that a drive only situation?

@brookandholler5499 you're right you have to bush it but you can if you stay in the creek off private property. I went 14.46 miles from teal pond to jackson falls to teal pond. The red trail is awesome

Beautiful arches. What path did you take to get to Bear Branch Bridge? We've never been out to that area, but it's on our list. We thought of starting off Spaas Creek Rd and following Bear Branch creek to the end, or taking Hatton Ridge Road and scrambling downhill but that looks kind of steep. Any advice? Thanks!
@brookandholler5499
@brookandholler5499 4 месяца назад
You have to start off on Hatton Ridge Road and follow the gravel road out over the ridge until you spot the horse trail. Find a spot on the side of the road to park and hike down the horse trail until you spot the natural bridge on your left.

Next time you're there, notice the very obvious manmade "house" which has been melted by such an intense heat as to turn brick into sandstone. You can still make out much of thr rectangular brick layers which bubbled but not quite fused into layered masses, on the undersides of the immense structure. Go off the designated paths and you'll find layers of brick everywhere. 😊😊
