Nice work. I have a question. From Site-B(config)#route Site_A 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.10.1, what if we want to allow only three IP addresses, say 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.12 and 192.168.1.27 from the subnet 192.168.1.0/24 to access the network (for security purposes), do we have to use access-list for that? If yes, how can we define the access-list to permit only those three IPs? This is a very important question to me. Thanks for paying attention.
Hello @Loopback, I'm stuck at about 7:30 in the video... I never get the Ubiquiti controller website to load... I think I need to figure out the IP address... any way to assign it to the same subnet as my Synology? My IP is 172.16.4.0/22 - my Synology RS2421+ running DSM 7.2.1-69057 Update 5. Things are slightly different, it doesn't say "Docker", but is called "Container Manager"... most settings are the same, but put in different places. Thanks Victor
is it possible to add a new route-based site-to-site VPN to ASA firewall that has an existing policy-based running on it? I mean can ASA firewall allow both policy-based and route-based VPN running on it? I have a task to add a new route-based VPN to our ASA firewall that has policy-based VPN running on it already. I am scared, I don't want to disrupt the existing VPN.
I have datastore1 of 2SSD 894GB as RAID1 .Also I've separate 8 hard disk drives with 12Tb space and created as on your video 8 12TB vmdk disks and linked to datastore01/hdd folder. I gave them name Drive_01..02 etc. And in this folder i see vmdk with 12Tb size. But then I've connected this vmdk as you to the guest vm Windows Server and when guest system started in disk management i see all partitions but the size each of them is only 936GB. Surprice, surprice!
VERY helpful! Thank you.. gotta ask though, how did you come up with these commands? They differ a lot from what's shown in the official documentation.
You are right. Usually the documentation is a bit behind the latest OS/package changes which is frustrating... I just google, check the logs and try to find workarounds.
Hello. Thank you for your videos, the previous video updating the unifi controller was very helpful. After watching this video I have a question. I have Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS, unifi controller 7.3.83, can I update to the new version of controller 8, using Ubuntu 20.04.3? If yes, can I use the previous version of the update video? Thank you
Hi, I haven't tested that and can't say if it is going to be smooth because of dependencies. I really think that it's going to give you one or two errors because of mangoDB (maybe...) so 1. I would take a snapshot of the VM and then go for upgrade + backup the config of Unifi controller 2. Install fresh ubuntu 22.X (see the latest videos in my channel for how to) and install version 8 controller and import your config backup. Cheers!
Awesome really excited for the release, hope this series on ASA will cover everything in details from scratch to advance with all details and entire and everything about Cisco ASA in ASDM including tunneling, SA, site to site VPN setup between ASA and Fortinet and ASA and any other vendors and everything in details of ASA in ASDM
Thanks for this... worked for me I had to remove the old image then add the new image and didn't have to reboot all i had to do was reset and it came back online.
"sudo apt install openjdk-8-jre-headless" must be entered before "sudo dpkg -i unifi_sysvinit_all.deb" and "sudo apt-get -f install", otherwise you may get a 404 error instead of the web interface
There's like a million videos on how to do this via ESXI but I can't find a single tutorial, written or video, even from EVE-NG documentation, on how to set this up on a Bare Metal Ubuntu 20.04 server. Argh......seems like everyone does the ESXI install for EVE. Does anyone do bare metal install and know how to allow internet access to their lab? I will give you a cookie....
