56 is now an old friend of mine because every time I take a trip to San Antonio on the Texas Eagle I always see 56 leading the southbound train even though the horn in this video is a memory she does have an impressive hybrid K5LA horn currently
Dang! Thats one of the best horns I’ve ever heard! I haven’t caught 63 yet but the ones I have caught with such beautiful horns like this leading trains in my area so far are 3, 22, 46, 54, 60, 81, 83, 92, 117, 123, 130, 132, 136, 139, 148, 164, 167, 176, 181, 183, 184, 189, 192, 206, 815, 817, and 835 (Locomotives that currently have them by the way)
Yeah it's old horn was also great. I personally think 63 and 59's NF K5LA's are equally as good. Although 59's NF K5LA was always a little wheezy while 63's is very loud and healthy.
The crossing closest to the "Buda Mill and Grain Co" currently has a GS type 2 bell which was installed in February of 2022. Before that both crossings had a WCH type 3 bell.
Yeah it's had 5 cars lately. That may only be because there's track work in Longview, Texas and they have to turn it around in Fort Worth instead of terminating in Chicago.
