Its an RC10 Graphite replica. The Team Associated Worlds car manual does the job in the build. Main difference is the Graphite chassis in the kit v the anodised black tub chassis in the worlds manual.
I don't know why they're complaining about the name so much number one you're using a Traxxas in the first place and I'm with Traxxas on this I bought the car already and as far as I am concerned it will be called a MUDBOSS
I’m guessing people might fear Traxxas trademarking (or otherwise registering) the name and then start suing the people making the ‘original’ mudboss bodies or using the name. Like they did when they send their lawyers after companies making aftermarket parts for Traxxas cars that were using the name of the car the part was for.. Traxxas is extremely protective of their ip and won’t hesitate for a millisecond to send their lawyer after you…
I got mine today! So excited. Couple things... First, it's important to say that I've only opened the box and browsed through the bags and glanced over the chassis.(several times) but... First thing I noticed after pulling out each parts bag one by one was that no lube is included. I had an original and the Associated stuff was a big step up for me as a kid. Game changer to say the least. Regardless of years since I remember it well. I remember the original kit came with special diff lube and probably not so special black grease and also some shock oil. I already knew no tires or rims were to be included so no surprise there. Same for electronics. This is an old school style kit electronics were never included back then. The second thing I noticed was a surprise. No instructions! Bummed. But honestly not a hard solution. Web search can find both the graphite car instructions and the stealth transmission instructions. Third minor thing that could just be me but it looked like the included body was dull or cloudy. Now there could be a protective film but a quick glance didn't show one. So we'll see. But i imagine that's also an easy work around. Fourth, the gear cover was not the same flimsy plastic cup type of plastic i remember. It was however stronger feeling. Perhaps that will prove to be an upgrade. Again we will see. Like i said i haven't even opened any of the bags yet but so far everything looks spot on. I'm hoping it's as good as it seems. I pulled out the ragged remains of my original which is missing most of the rear, including the transmission, as a benchmark. I'm looking forward to taking my time with this kit but first impressions are good. This is not the kind of RTR package you buy now. So I think some will be critical of the exclusions. And there is something to be said about that. But to someone like me I'm just excited for the opportunity to have this whole experience again. Can't wait to see what happens from here.
I ordered a fan rc and will be restoring my original as well. Truly been waiting for this for years. The folks at gofast have been a great help too. Very responsive to all my emails. I have yet to assemble my kit but am so looking forward it. I just hope that the diff balls, diff rings and bearings and such are of similar quality to the original.
What’s going to be best recommended sprint car kit for a loose dirt track. Unfortunately we don’t have any clay oval tracks. It does groove up decent but we’re having to use small pin tires for racing. Thanks!
We’re running a box-stock class where I race because unless you modify the heck out of it, it won’t be competitive. That prospect is an incentive to bring more people into the hobby.
I STILL have mine! Bought it when it first came out. Friend of mine had a machine shop in his backyard. We made a chassis for it our of paper thin titanium. That car was stupid fast. We did pretty good at the race track on thursday nights. Good times. Must have been around 1987 I think.
I'd cut the two front supports in the front bumper and drill them out a bit for a turn buckle on each side. Could tighten them up and force that front bumper up a little bit. Or just hit it with a heat gun and flex it up. It definitely is weird that it scoops down like that, seemingly only to support the body.
We have some more coming!! Hope to have them in the next week or so. Be sure to go to our website and click the link”notify me when back in stock” button so you can be the first to know when we get them in!
First year of rc10 GT 1993 not 94... I as well got one in 1995. Still have it. I also have several NIB kits and several that been pieced together nip , but are still in the box and need to be assembled. One is a black tub, two are a early FT blue tub. A lot of people don't know that there's a lot of variations of the OG GT. Back in the days duratrax had a conversion kit so did Amain they also called it the dungeon kit..
I'm never surprised just jaw dropping the coolest stuff for set ups we have a track in back yard and hole family races me and my son that kinda by memory me and my sons Losi mini sprint cars awesome video as always
Hello! Thanks for watching! Both are great options, I would recommend the Custom Works Outlaw 5 since it does come with a good manual to help you build the car. Good luck racing!
Love the videos guys! I would love to see a video on how to “play” with ride heights, and also as a new foam tire racer I would enjoy seeing a shock build for the smaller shocks! They seem to be a little more finicky than most!

Did you grab that #87 Rex from Morphy Auction in August? Looks like one from a lot that my family auctioned off. I managed to get my hands on 2 of them 😊. Thanks for the informative video-
