Both have their merits. Showing off what you find at secondhand stuff is just culturally different; ofc you're not sure what you'll find. Alternatives are appreciated but I think it's apples to oranges in many ways.
Maybe it’s worth more than what you think because sometimes you can look up some certain items and it looks like it’s really cheap but it’s actually more pricey because it’s hard to fine or it’s really rare
It could be a stream egg to run up the price of these collectors items. It’s possible that this humpty isn’t very expensive right now but with a $500 dollar price tag and proof of purchase you can make him pry dumpy worth much more the $5 or $500.
Double check what other people are selling them for McDonald's toys from the early 2000s especially ones in good condition do sell for a lot of money especially the rare one and being a kid myself in the early 2000s I don't remember that one being a very long run meaning there are not very many of them out there
