After reading the description I am deeply moved and touched by this utterly human and insanely beautiful display of Trans Pride. Your voice is a true gift to humanity and your resilience in the face of hatred has been inspiring and a privilege to watch
And sometimes you might need to acknowledge that you don’t know everything - about how doctors practice medicine & approach patient focussed consultations. This highlights your ignorance rather than theirs. Had the doctor asked questions & made notes as you spoke, you’d likely complain that you were treated as a Guinea pig, dehumanised. Seems to be no winning with trans people in the health care setting. Regardless of our bending over backwards to accommodate TQ+ patients, there are endless complaints regarding consultations. Surely you would agree that diversity exists within a subcategory. We aim to meet the needs of all. Educating patients is a vital element of practicing medicine, yet TRA patients are most commonly unwilling to receive educational material during a consultation. Food for thought.
