It is deeply disappointing that you continue to showcase Kasparov despite my previous objections. The only possible conclusion is that the Upton Sinclair principle is at work: "It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on his not understanding it." For readers who may not know, In the 1995 world championship between Anand and Kasparov, Anand took the lead in game 9. In game 10, every time Kasparov made a move, he got up to go to the bathroom and slammed the door behind him so hard the room shook. The young and mild mannered Anand did not complain to the arbiter, who also did not act. Bullying destroys lives, and bullied children suffer lifelong low self esteem. And how great a player you must be if you need such tactics to win. Bullies are scum with no place in society, and must be severely curtailed. Kasparov needs to be shunned completely and made to answer for his behavior. All chess channels have a duty to help. It doesn't matter when this game was played or who the opponent is.

My friend I respect your feelings but we can't judge one game behalf any player and his career. No doubt Garry Kasparov is a great player he is a great contribution in the chess game and chess lovers like his games.

Kasparov's "brilliancy" on the board is completely annulled by his behavior away from it. It is high time the chess world held him to account for this despicable behavior and shunned him completely. His name should disappear on the garbage dump of history.

@@whaddoiknow6519 People heard so many things regarding bad behavior of the Legend Bobby Fischer as well. We must look at the Games and I regard both Fischer and Kasparov as Great players.
@whaddoiknow6519
@whaddoiknow6519 10 дней назад
@@sahilsamandar2185 Fisher suffered from mental illness later in life so that is in a different category. Yes he did a lot of weird things in the 1972 match, but that is it -- they were weird, not ugly. I don't believe he did anything remotely like what Kasparov did. Especially when Kasparov was the champion and the much more senior player. This is what the British call punching down. Bullying is despicable behavior -- perhaps you have not looked at its lifelong damage on children -- and it is time the world recognized this.

It is simply not possible for me to look at any of Kasparov's games in isolation, and I don't care how "brilliant" it is. @@beerchess11 Bullying is never acceptable. It was not acceptable even back in 1995. Intimidating your opponent by displays of pique fall in this category -- e.g., if you smash your racket into the ground in tennis you are sanctioned, and that was true in 1995 also.

In stead of celebrating Kasparov's games, the chess world should be aware of another side of the man. In the 1995 Anand vs Kasparov world championship, Anand took the lead in game 9. In game 10, every time Kasparov made a move, he got up to go to the bathroom and slammed the door behind him so hard the room shook. @@beerchess11 Agree 100% that Anand is a gentleman, but bullying is destructive, and needs to be challenged. And Anand is clearly hurt by this matter, because he has mentioned this in several interviews and videos. Second, bullied children and adults often "do not complain," and suffer in silence. So the casus belli is not Anand's alone but for every decent person. Third, why would a truly great player resort to such tactics instead of letting his chess do the talking? Why stop at slamming doors -- why not threaten to break your opponent's legs?
