Lol, this was 95% East Lansing but OK. I got 2 points making the same maneuver at 04:50 at "the wrong time". 🤬 That was 40 years ago but still pisses me off. 😄
1987 was the year we got out of Lansing (from the exact neighborhood where the video starts over by pine and saginaw) My cousins who stayed all ended up with face tattoos and needle drug habits
I would love to see more videos from back in the day. It makes me happy and a little sad as I think of how many of my loved ones were still roaming the earth back then.
i was pretty much on aol 24/7 back in the day and never even heard of this thing. i think the whole webtv/aol tv was a pretty interesting concept that came to life. never would of thought back then browsing the web on a tv would even be possible like it is in todays world lol
Very cool. Was 25 and had just graduated from MSU. Born and raised. Grew up near the capitol and was born in Sparrow Hospital. Been in St Louis since 1994. 5 siblings still in Lansing. Going back for a concert on September 22nd at the Cadillac Room. Should be fun. Thanks for posting.
Pause. The building at Grand River and Abbot- it looks like there was a fire right where the alley exists between Beggar's and the adjacent building. Thinking 'bout the alley - there are beams between the two buildings. Things make sense, whoa.
I feel so old that I was born the next year. The only thing that still looks the same are the Quality Dairy stores, which are still going strong. I used to work on the owners Dodge Charger at the dealership. Still a family run business

There is an inferred camera on top of the center spoke of the steering wheel that uses eye tracking software to tell that you are looking forward. It works really well and can tell even if you are just looking to the side. There is a small grace period before it nags you to look forward again.
I'm still in Lansing michigan. I bought my first new car in 1987! I drove through this area last week. I don't remember the Spartan theater. It must have been where the Red Lobster is in Frandor. I do remember the Shell gas station next door to it. Wow memories.
So here's all the breads that represent the 9 Classes: Scout: Plain loaf (basically those loaves you normally see in expiration date) Soldier: Slice of bread Ration Pyro: Burnt slice of bread Demoman: Slice of cinnamon-swirl bread Heavy: Loaf of Borodinsky bread Engineer: Cornbread medic: pretzel crumpet: Sniper spy: Baguette
This brings back memories! Been a Lansing resident my entire life (45 years) I instantly recognize this as Saginaw eastbound. Ahh the days where there were 4 lanes of traffic, not 3 with that pointless bike lane they now have on the right. I totally forgot there was once a train track right before the bridge coming up to Cedar. And that car totally blew through a red light going north on Grand at 0:55. Someone grab that guy's plate number! Ahh, never mind. It's been 35 years, lol
