I am not sure why, but those 1930’s and 1940’s aircraft were so beautiful. Later aircraft are sleek and powerful demonstrations of technical badassery, but they just are not “pretty”! It is wonderful that these aging ladies are still gracing the Sky.
Hard to believe it’s been over 22 years since we lost Norman. Happy times when Stormn Norman and Gary were entering us with a world class display of airmanship.
I remember thinking he could not possibly be normal and that he was indeed an android. Turns out he is one of the most humble stars on the planet. A musical and lyrical genius, a brilliant conceptual artist ; he is a brilliant Pilot also.
Norman was a great pilot. Happy flying with Gary, served his country proud flying helicopter in the Falklands war, Air sea rescue in Cornwall and Solent & Passenger Airlines. I great man and a sad loss. Always remembered. He would be smiling at this video.
