Google this "Piano program shows the keys to resonating: She would be about 89 in that picture and has taught since 1945. Article dated 2014 she was my piano teacher in 1964 and 1965. I went to the same school referred to in the article.
I trained at the Hutt House of Music in Scarborough, Ontario Canada in the 1960's. The women Mrs. Hutt was coco-loco in the head. Believe it or not she's still teaching to this day. If you goggle this it should up first as an article in the Toronto Star newspaper: the Hutt House of Music Scarborough Ontario Canada.
I used to play the piano when I was a little kid. I did over 4 million flipper flips on pinball machines and was world class in typing speed at 320 words per minute old school typewriters Smith Corona from the 1980's. I don't want to be crass your playing ability is excellent but some of the songs are a tad slower than the real songs played on the piano.
I'm sure you could play circles around me, Parkerbohnn! I don't give myself much time to practice and get up to speed. I just record the song right away before I forget how I did it. Love your mention of pinball machines! My son designs and builds them in his spare time. www.youtube.com/@Gornkleschnitzer
@@loiscorcoran168 I've been playing pinball machines 8 to 12 hours a day since I was 4 and a half years old. I'm a former 6 time world pinball champion. I'm ambidextrous. I wish the pinball era never died out.
Lois you are masterful soloist you make the piano sing 🎶. I’ve also listened to you play with the co-op musicians as an accompanist and you are superb there too. Keep up the great you have many of us fans !!
That’s fantastic Lois after only day 1/2 on the instrument !! Keep it up dare I say I’m looking forward one day to hearing the opening of Alan Jackson’s “Remember When” 😁
Great as always! Can you please play "One Moment in Time" by Whitney Houston? Thanks for playing as always. P.S. I have some more songs to add to your Christmas list. "Christmas Shoes" by New song, "Heirlooms" by Amy Grant, and "Christmas Everyday" by Kenny Rogers.
Thanks for your requests, Jacob! I wish I knew these songs, but unfortunately I've never heard them before. That makes learning them by ear much harder. I'm currently working on my Beatles Bonanza but when that's done, I'll check out these songs and see if any are easy enough for me to learn.
When I was a younger man, I briefly dated a young lady named Daisy. Our first date was to a local lakeside grounds. She ran up a hill and asked me to chase her, and when I got to the top she grabbed my hand and made me feel her heartbeat. When her mother drove me home, Sharing The Night Together played on the radio as we cuddled up together in the back seat. I miss her every day. This song brings back memories of that beautiful day to me. Thank you for the beautiful cover, ma'am.
Sounds great Lois. I did this song recently too. I taught myself how to play it too. I also love You Are My Sunshine and play it for my mom and played it for my late father all the time. 🎹 👍
