Welcome to the Aquatic Discoveries YT Channel! The aquarium hobby has many enthusiastic fans worldwide, but few know what the natural habitat of their fishes really looks like. Aquatic Discoveries was created as a result of this knowledge gap. The goal of Aquatic Discoveries is to spread knowledge about the natural habitats of our South American aquarium fishes. During our expeditions we try to completely describe the habitats by: -Taking above and underwater footage (photo and video). -Describing the surrounding (location, vegetation, presence of rocks/wood etc). -Describing the water parameters (Color, current, pH, conductivity, temperature etc.). -Catching and identifying as many fish species as possible that are present at the location. We also work together with various scientific institutions, museums and universities worldwide to collect samples and share our findings.
heerlijk het verschil te zien tussen Parimaribo en dat dorpje in de jungle, geen rijtjes huizen meer alles lekker door elkaar. Is volgens mij een grandioze plek om te wonen! vertrekkend na het overvliegen van de rivier op 3minuten filmtijd is dat jungle tegen de stad aan?
Je mag doen wat je wil, maar te adviseren is dat je stil zit in zo een korjaal, want als je valt in het water hebben de lokalen zoiets van dat jij jezelf uit het water zou moeten kunnen redden dus heb je je zwem diploma's en je longen gepurifiseert

zo zie je maar, ik heb jarenlang rond gezworven en gesnorkeld in Venezuela, Brazilie, Colombia (waar ik nu woon) Peru en Equador. Toen nog geen onderwater camera maar heel veel het zelfde gezien, leuk om Leporinus Faciatus te zien, zit ook in de Amazone bij Leatitie Colombia smaken goed doorgebakken heerlijk. ik heb genoten en zal nog heel wat keren gaan kijken naar deze pracht film. Ik zat in 1974 in dienst was sergeant en klaar en gepakt om naar Suriname te gaan, HELAAS werden ze juist toen onafhankelijk, anders hadden jullie mij vast en zeker in Suriname ontmoet, want ik was er vast en zeker gebleven! Fijn te zien dat er nog veel oerwoud over is! Hier in Colombia gaat het met duizenden hectares/kilometers per jaar achteruit.
This reminds me the my childhood in late 90s of sri lanka..my country. now all that beauty has vanished because of the corrupted politicians.. please save your country before it is too late. this country is actually like a paradise to me
