The place looks very beautiful and peaceful. The food doesn't look very good, but the only food that our soul needs is the Word of God. May God bless all of you. 🙏🙏🙏 The world needs many saints in these terrible times.
Seems to be a great atmosphere there but then again a big number of people create that. Here in St Patricks Maynooth Ireland a much older place with stone staircases up to some floors. Steeped in tradition of course and beautiful also. Have not got your beautiful weather....... Nice to watch!
Only need to get my Bishops approval and I'll be a seminarian next year. Been watching lots of "day in the life of a seminarian" and it's always morning prayer at 6:45. I'm a morning person anyways but is it the same for all seminaries or is it maybe because every video I've seen is from the US?
Hi to whoever’s reading this I’m fourteen and a catechumen in the Catholic Church with atheist parents, please pray for me as I finish my 2 year conversion this Easter Vigil! But please also pray for my parents that they return to Christs true church I even have a testimony, I wanted to become Jewish about 16 months into my conversion and I almost went through with it but every time I stepped into the synagogue I felt the urge to pray the Jesus Prayer, than I started getting dreams of the church and I knew I had to return, I went to my RCIC director but because I missed 3 lessons I would have to wait until 2025 (that’s not happening anymore) but with the help of the grace of God I got approved to be received this Easter Vigil and I’m so excited, Glory to God!!!
saya dulu pernah bermimpi ingin menjadi seminari karena cara hidup yang nyaman dan tenteram, karena dekat pada Tuhan. Tapi mimpi itu tidak pernah kesampaian. Tuhan memberkati anda semua.
hello blessings when the semesters begin at the Vicente de paul seminary in boyton beach I am interested in knowing when classes start and when many end
Bro. You know how God wants us to have sex only between husband and wife. Many men suffer with attraction to minors, same sex, multiple partners. Just try to live according to God’s law. It is not easy. But he will help. You will be so blessed
Sorry if I'm attacking you. Father's. I think I'm just jealous of the free food, free faith and free friends and drinks and free room and board. I pay rent to my gambling addicted parents
I guess it isn't great to generalize. Like I said sorry I have an eschewed view of what a priest is. Particularly having experienced a repressed abusive Catholic background. I was never a great athlete nor a leader. I think it's because I don't have leadership ability. My mind is always on relationships with women's. Because I had an absent father. So I tend to rationalize. I should study coaching. Every woman should. So they don't join the fraternity.
Do you all have autism? You seem kinda socially or intellectually off. I'm not trying to sound judgmental. I probably have undiagnosed problems. I suppose prayer does help with the inevitable dread of getting older. But why not just have more intimate relations with women? I guess it's not part of the process.
These fellas look too young to be priests. Why not try dating or getting married? I picture a priest as a "sexless" bald (Jewish) guy with glasses and who is very boring. Not a racial or obligatory thing. Just saying. Maybe I just have a narrow view of the world.
I'm not a catholic.nor a good Christian ...but i actually respect a priest being single and childless....I think it gives them focus and not distracted by family obligations!!
Although not the entire Catholic Church requires its clergy to be celibate (those of the Eastern Churches allow married clergy), it has been the tradition in the West to be celibate. This follows the Apostle Paul who said he preferred that they not marry like him. In a way, the celibacy of the clergy gives them a freedom that only the philosophers dreamed of: not having to deal with the matters of the domestic family, they can give their lives to study, prayer, and community.
It is against the nature of humans to not experience intimacy with others. It is so ingrained in the human psyche that if denied, leads to many psychological concerns. Celibacy is problematic for most humans, even if they don’t realize it. Centuries of abuse, depression, alcoholism and shattered lives follow this Catholic idealism. This is one reason the Catholic Church is facing severe criticism from child abuse victims, the LGBT community, abused nuns, priests and societies at large. Catholic clergy has displayed astonishing ignorance of human sexuality and psychology for centuries. The number of lives damaged by bizarre sexual phobias, ignorance and the elevation of mandatory celibacy is incalculable.
@@donaldbush1182You know most of the abuse that happened was by definition gay rape, because most persons that were abused were post pubescent boys. And in fact due to the opening of society to homosexuality, these persons don’t have to hide anymore in priesthood
Mark, thank you for this glimpse into your seminary days, it is enlightening, entertaining, and inspiring. Well done! You continue to be in my intentions for your discernment.
