Can't understand people repeating the fact that Stevie gave the song away in the comments because this info is already in the original post. What about reading the original post before writing any comment? By the way, it's an excellent recording with a great bass performance by Nathan Watts. I can only hope for the release of all Stevie's tracks lying in the vaults.
This is the song that Stevie gave to Roberta Flack on her "Roberta Flack featuring Donny Hathaway" album. This track sounds exactly how it sounds on Roberta's album, and I always knew that Stevie played the keys on this track. Pure excellence!
Gough Whitlam was fortunate that the Liberal Party replaced the relatively progressive and charismatic John Gorton with the unimaginative, ineffectual and wooden William McMahon as Prime Minister. Gorton had defeated Whitlam in 1969, albeit with a reduced majority, and could well have repeated that win in 1972, particularly if Gorton had been allowed to prosecute his more progressive national policies. Once in office, Whitlam implemented a number of worthy social policies, but his main failing was his disinterest in economic policy. This ambivalence was later confirmed by many of his cabinet colleagues who attested that Whitlam would literally "glaze over" when any deep economic discussion took place. Ultimately, domestic economic policy is the most important "game in town" as, without a strong Government budgetary position and a healthy private sector economy, a Government will struggle to sustainably implement its otherwise laudable social programs and infrastructure projects. Sadly, under Whitlam's stewardship, exacerbated by the actions of a number of dysfunctional cabinet members, Government finances were in disarray and the Australian economy was in tatters. This doubtlessly was the main causation for Malcolm Fraser's record landslide victory in Devember 1975, a month after Sir John Kerr' historic dismissal of the Whitlam Government.
James Brown was the typical black man who wore his insecurities out front and did not treat people with the utmost respect nor pay them what they were really were. A man makes 100 million and pay people $900 a week etc etc. It's called pimping and whoring where I'm from and that is Chi Town!! When people help you always sow back into them
@@StrangerInAustralia Thank you! I understand he has a solo album in the making. I'd like to hear his interpretation of the Brothers Johnson's 'Stomp'.
I had to almost pull teeth to find out that it was Natt Watts. One guy years ago argued me down saying it was Anthony Jackson which I had bought. Luckily I saw a video of Nathan Watts saying that it was in fact him
