I must say a very talented young man you have there! Our instincts are here for a reason. Always listen! A bit tough weather wise but you shared a trip. On another note, was wondering if you are going to Big Brutus event? Thought I might go up for a Saturday day trip, and hopefully meet you and some other likeminded folks. Won’t bring my rig, still cleaning out and prepping for solo travel sadly after my loss👼. We’ve got to get through some nasty heat here, but our weather is just around the bend🤞.
I have some friends going to Big Brutus. They said the music is good. I will keep watching for it and see how my schedule works out for that. We have some transitions happening.
@@ericscamping thinking about getting a 2nd gen facelift. I do like wider tires they don’t need to be huge though I just like a slight poke but seems like it wouldn’t work well for pilot…. 😢. Could I get your opinion? I like your set up though
The Faulken Wildpeaks that I have on my vehicle do have a little wider stance compared to other tires. But they are expensive. I would be very cautious of using wheel spacers to achieve a wider stance. The leverage against the wheel bearings is a hub bearing killer.
@@ericscamping ahhh okay cool cool. I will have to think about it. Not planning to do full off reading and trails but I do go fishing and camping. Currently have a taco lifted on 35’s and now that I think about it. It is kind of overkill lol
It has been a sport for quite some time for people to buy police look alike vehicles and attempt to get a reaction out of people on the road. One time I was traveling to a clients home and a Ford Explorer got right in behind me and began to tailgate me very closely, then over the knoll appeared Oklahoma State Highway patrol. The individual in the vehicle, who was actually with his young family, hardly maintained control of his vehicle he braked so hard to get away from my car. These folks have been out there for a long time doing this, many people blame the police. This is an impersonator with a lot of issues. The truth is that the police need to do more about these types to improve their own reputation.
Definitely another bucket list trail for me! Thanks! It’s going to be one heck of a road trip for me. Carson NF to San Juan NF to Moab/ Arches NP to Wasatch NF to Grand Teton and Yellowstone to LivingstonMT to Blackhills SD. A good five weeks- your content inspires me and provides good information. Thank you
That sounds like a really good loop. If you can stay at Horse Thief Lake in the Black Hills. We visited it long before, as a family. I started making videos, but it is an absolute winner. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hi Eric! Great video… I’ll be out on Carson NF next month- driving my new Subaru Outback Wilderness from South Carolina… can’t wait to hit some beginner- intermediate off road trails for driving and hiking. I wonder if my car could handle these conditions. It has 9.5 ground clearance and I got modded skid plates to protect the organs! 😂Any suggestions/ other recommendations are welcome 🙏
If you head up to the Cimarron Campground the way I did you will have plenty of clearance. There’s nothing like an obstacle on any of those National Forest roads. :-) At least when I went up lol.
Looks a lot like a 3.5L 2013 Ford Explorer. If I squint carefully, I think the VIN ends in GA12316. If I had to guess, it's changed owners a few times, probably in 2019, 2020 and last in 2023, and if that license plate holder is any indication, sold by Hiawatha Ford for about $13K in Hiawatha, Kansas. While it was driven like it was stolen, it doesn't appear to actually be stolen.
Gracias
As always nicely done brother. One of these days I will build my trailer up for more storage. When you still tent camp seems like you never have enough space for everything.
