The long pieces were 3”x 24” but you could go longer or shorter. I used a 1/4 -20 threaded insert with a correspondingly sized bolt. I prefer the threaded inserts that are zinc and use hex keys for driving the insert in. Stay away from the brass ones with the flat head driver top, they break easily.
Love these. A question: if you had kept the paper adhered to the 3/8” pieces and simply attached them paper-side-down, would there have been much of a difference in the final look of the planter?
You said at 1:24 that there is a center and it turns like that . But you were rotating it the opposite direction 😂 Leonardo da Vinci would be very disappointed in you !
CoooooolWould you be interested in testing a mask from the second-largest mask manufacturer in the United States and sharing it with your fans through a reel post?

Great video, content, instructions, etc. Been a subscriber since the beginning. You haven't disappointed. Not sure why or how your channel hasn't grown more than it has, but you truly deserve more views & subscribers. Keep up the great work. Unfortunately, YT's algorithm set up is whack! Of course, that's my own personal opinion. Many other channels I've came across are in the same boat due to the algorithm BS. Keep grinding 💪! Tony - Central Coast Cali 🇺🇸
Thanks Tony! I needed to hear that. The growth is slow but steady. I think I’m going to be making some more furniture, it seems to do well and I enjoy it too.
The Sun... I built a three tiered planter out of cedar last year. I did the ends of the box like you did. End grain up. That was the easiest. I noticed that all 6 ends cracked. You have that problem too?
Nothing yet. My thinking was the sides would expand and contract inline with the bottom piece. I think gaps and cracks are probably inevitable with so much exposure to weather.
Nice work. Easy, cheap and looks great. And pocket hole joinery is a perfectly acceptable choice, especially when they're hidden. PS .. Just my opinion, but I prefer shop sounds to music in woodworking videos... but at least yours didn't have me with my finger at the volume button the whole time!
Thanks for a great video 👍. Didn’t over complicate anything as everything was explained thoroughly. End result looks great! Also have to give props on music selection! There aren’t too many YT videos that I watch that I can truly say that about! Lol. You music selection was on point with your video! Subscribed!
