Lacey, I've followed your story from Flyleaf, to marriage to babies, and you really need to know the Father is so proud of you, you are living it !, the REAL uncompromising life for Jesus !, love your testimony and Mercy Tree makes me cry every time I hear it, God bless you and your family, Merry Christmas and if you are able go to that ramp conference, I've been to a few and the Holy Spirit is always there :)
I don't know the guy, I like Lacey Sturm, but feel sorry for the people who come to these kind of meetings, I attended once similar meeting, when I arrived I saw around 200 - 300 people. First 30-40 mins seemed to me like a rock concert, everyone seem to enjoying it, then when the performance had finished 60% - 70% of people left and only few stayed, also during "pastor's" speech there was a music playing in the background to make his speech sound emotional. As I wish everyone to be saved and enter the kingdom of God, but this is some kind of a joke, first you come to jump and listen to some bands, then you listen to a guy who preaches not entirely true gospel making it believable by playing some soothing music in the background, and then the best part - MONEY MONEY MONEY! (Jesus wasn't taking money for preaching the gospel!) In my opinion coming to these "churches", meetings, performances, keeps your soul satisfied rather than your spirit! Most of the people seem to come to these meetings for performance not for the truth! I also do need anyone between me and God but Jesus - John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. I know these priests, pastors, may help some people to turn to God, but you shouldn't rely on Pastor to tell you what to believe in, how to believe, etc. You should spend more time with God in intimate contact through Jesus! I am not authorized to judge but I think these meetings are brainwashing people. I'm glad that I am in a Christian group that doesn't rely on priests, pastors, we are all allowed to share our experience with Christ. There is no hierarchy, we are not ASKED to give any money, rather if we feel to give we do but nobody walks with a stick and some pot or envelopes to ask for "Church" donation! I feel free where there are no bonds and everyone can share and everyone is equal! You want to experience Christ in a real way! Speak to him as if he was the love of your life! Tell him how much you love him and how much you need him, ask him to help you go through the hard time if you have one, thank him for health, prosperity or even if you are just happy! Speak to him as if it was your 1st, best and only love! Breath his name and breath out Christ so that people will see Jesus in you! The people will see the body of Christ! You may call me crazy, but this is my own experience, I began to fall in love with Christ only when I began to turn to him, and whispering that I love Him and I need Him! Before I used to come to Christian meetings for entertainment often distracted by the Sisters in Christ! Now I want to be distracted by Christ! I need him and want him in my life!
it’s not the church’s fault if people choose to leave early, and what’s wrong with praising God with rock music? i like to shout and dance because i’m so thankful for who God is
What an awesome and incredible testimony and song! Powerful story of the redeeming love of God to reach us where we hurt and that we are NOT invisible to the Creator of the Universe & that we matter to Him! He really is the LOVER OF OUR SOULS!
To the person who asks what happen to the amazing screams: I think they can be found on 3:20 to 3:30 in the video. Oh, what you really mean why do they sound different from her screams in the past? Well I'm no expert on screaming but I think there is a technique call shrill screaming which uses your diaphragm and not your throat. The pluses of this technique is that you can scream for longer. Notice she holds that word, "break" in for 10 seconds. The second benefit should be obvious in that it saves you from vocal damage. The only downside is the screams sound airy. I still love lacey's screams and am absolutely amazed that she can still scream after 10 years. Like you I have noticed a change but to me they're still amazing. Lastly look up her live performance of take the Bullets Away by we as Human because she screams old style there.
I met her on this tour and I still can't believe I did. Her music in Flyleaf and now have touched my soul so deeply and meeting her and connecting with her touched my soul much more. She's such a blessing from God for this earth.
i met her after this tour show too in boston mass in same year...what an amazing person she is...such a great role model not just for primarily women..but everyone!!! hearing her testimony story their live was even more great and emotionally felt in that room...i enjoyed meeting her n hope to meet her again soon such a down to earth person and ontop of meeting her i also met Josh too hes a very good guy to talk to as well...<3 and cant wait for her book*
