We make the best traditional archery, bow building, recurve bow hunting, bushcraft, and survival skills videos on the web. Join Clay, Liz, and the kids on outdoor adventures from bowhunting deer and elk in the Idaho mountains to chasing wild hogs in Florida to practicing bushcraft and survival skills. We hunt and fish because we love to but it's also how we get the majority of our meat. Hunting is how we live. We also grow a big garden on our Idaho homestead. That, in combination with hunting, fishing, and foraging is how we get the majority of our food.

Watch this BEFORE YOU BUY this SURVIVAL KIT!

For a budget skinning hunting etc knife check out 👍Hultafors Heavy-duty👍 Carbon steel knife. It also has a handle thicker & longer than most mora knives. 👍Super tough & more durable/ versatile👍 than the "delicate"- blade tipped mora!!!

i like your shirt, I live in Montana (Great Falls, born in Billings, and family from Butte/Walkerville/Divide and Fort Benton). <3 Great video! Thank you for the helpful information! We are brainwashed to believe that the only way we can get clean and safe things to eat or drink is by going to the grocery store. It is beautiful when someone shares the tips and tricks necessary for life. :)

Wish I'd known years ago that you grind out a goodly pile of wood dust before trying to rock and roll at full speed to get the ember. This guy did it hardcore- starting from nothing but a knife and in wet conditions. Helps 1000% if you have your drill set already, dry tinder kept safe.

Sorry, but I use No Plant material in my water filters. I have several sources of water, a good source of sand and get charcoal from campfires and wood stove to make water filters as well as a good supply of store bought water filters. I can use clean rags to put between the different layers of materials in my homemade water filters. Keep Prepping my friends.

If you quench your charcoal with water rather than let it cool slowly, some portion of it will be converted into activated charcoal. This will improve your filtration results immensely.

For the Solar Ignition, if you had a piece of Char Cloth, it would have been easier. Best bring a magnify lens or a fresnel lens.

Would it be benefitial for the longterm use of the filter to boil the swamp water first (thus preventing growth from building up in the filter medium) or is that just overkill and unnecessary
