@@jayceooi Would you consider the S5 a better option for cinematic experiences and some gaming? I'm afraid the S5 will not deliver the best results due to its resolution, even though the projector will always be used in a pitch-black room. Also, in the Nothing Projectors channel, the comparison seems really close in terms of brightness between both projectors.
@@goncalolucas3085 Most sites don't calibrate their projectors before taking videos. But I always do. V1 Ultra wins over resolution. That's for sure. But I do prefer S5 in overall. Hey Jayce I have a question, how about the dangbei Neo? You haven't reviewed this product but I want to know your thoughts. It's a 2023 model, 540 ISO Lumens (around 550-600 ANSI according to another RU-vidr) DLP LED technology, 0.33 DMD. I am comparing it in my mind with formovie S5 with the only downside of S5 being the 0.23 DMD chip. I only care about colours and brightness, I have a TV stick and a 5.1 speaker setup so I don't care about anything else. My current projector is BW V5 so I imagine it would be a big upgrade. I just can't decide if the Dangbei Neo is the best choice. The price is 360 euros (399 dollars) on a sale right now. What do you think about it?
@@jayceooi unfortunately I can only buy it in the US and I live in Greece.. so I will go to Formovie S5 for the low energy consumption, the laser and DLP technology, the colours, the brightness and the price of 380 euros. If you have another recommendation in that budget (up to 450 dollars or close to that) please recommend!

Hi Jayce, Thanks for the detailed review. I have the option to get either the Dangbei Atom or the Xgimi Halo Plus for about the same price, but I'm struggling to decide. The battery isn't important to me. I'll primarily use it for watching movies at home and taking it on travels. I want to be able to watch with the lights on at night, or even during the day if possible. The Atom's brightness is appealing for this reason. I've read that Xgimi projectors haven't been able to run the Netflix app since July 15, 2024. Even with a TV stick, I'd like to watch Netflix in 1080p. I understand the Halo Plus has better colors, picture quality, and sound. Finally, I want the one with the longer-lasting light source. According to your list, the Atom ranks higher, but comments suggest you prefer the Halo Plus. 4K isn't important to me since there's not much 4K content available, and I probably wouldn't see the difference anyway. However, being able to watch Netflix is very important. Does the Halo Plus still provide Netflix with a TV stick (after July 15)? Can you please help me decide? Thanks.
Hi Muaz, you are most welcome! As long as you have Netflix certified TV stick, you are good to go with Halo+. Atom is smaller with certified Netflix built-in.

Much better than 1LCD. Can last for years depending on usage. So far, none of my DLP projectors have it. Even on my oldest Optoma with more than 2000 hours usage.

Hi Jayce, Aside from the build in battery and the google certification, is there a big gap between HAlo + and Formovie S5, if viewing experience is the main factor, which one performs better in low ambient light and rescaling and playing 4k content?
How can this be real? It's now priced around 250 euros and I'm thinking of buying it. Coming from BW V5 I have to say that both color gamut and brightness are important for me, would you recommend this one or Formovie S5 (around 350). I would prefer the cheaper one but my budget goes to 400). Great video as always!
Believe it or not. All the tests follow the same standard for my projector reviews. Personally, I prefer DLP projector. But HQ10W is the best 1LCD projector yet.

I was trying to say that I was amazed by the value of this projector! Since it does not have sealed lenses and it is so much power consuming I think I will go for the S5
@@jayceooi tech is getting cheaper and cheaper. Considering upscaling, image processing and motion smoothness even LG and Samsung high end OLEDs fall way behind Sony XR TVs bro... Just because we will have 4k native high color gamut 4k60hz projectors dont mean they will display national 480p 720p TV sharp like Sony and Panasonic TVs etc

Helo Jayse. This one or wanbo mozart1? Now prices are the same on bangood. Fan noise level is important for me. Also, picture quality and brightness. You have a good review for wanbo mozart. This new dlp projector doesn't have any good reviews on yt. I will use projector for movie and yt watching in dark room. I have tryed one dlp projector before, and return it. It was Byintek P70. Very disapointed with picture quality and brightnes of it. The only good thing was fan noise. It was very quiet. So I'm a little bit afraid of another dlp projector. So what do you suggest? :) Thank you.
@jayceooi Thanks for answering. VT3 is 1920*1080 XPR. So , as I understand, it's not true 1080p, but some kind of upscaling technology. And what about mozart1 fan noise level? Won't it be too distracted in 3x3 meters room?:)
