Not to be that guy, but if money and power are important to them, make a fundraiser to "donate" to these people. Then make it known that if they want people to still vote them into office and let them stay in power, that they'll vote based on what the people actually want. The good thing about corrupt politicians is that they can be easily manipulated into doing your bidding

WRONG, we've seen what a lack of regulation does. We will not retirn to a Rockafeller distopia again. We need to bar corperation and let the free market be for only individual sellers & buyers not coperations.
There's another part to all this... It's that the banking institutions have been purchasing private residence for more than 10 years. Once these homes DO go on the market, they are being sold at AUCTION, where the banks themselves are able to bid on their own property. IE: The bank doesn't want to lose $$, so they take a home with a value of (say) $200k, and put a starting bid on it in excess of $237k... and suddenly everyone else walks away from the auction, and the home doesn't sell and the bank simply holds on to that home til the rates change again... which could be another 5, 10, 20 years.

Really? Texas is the poster child for picking winners and losers in the market place. Previous years data indicates that private equity firms are purchasing an average of 40% of new home construction in texas. If I remember correctly 52% in Dallas Ft worth. Aside from the current texas approach choosing 'winners and losers', since when is a republican against repealing regulations? Sounds like some one is protecting the status quo.
I agree that we don't need or want government housing, and need to get back to the free market. That said though, just like how monopoly laws became necessary, we are in need of laws that hinder and prevent large corporations from controlling the housing market. Companies like BlackRock have turned what was once fair and affordable housing opportunities on the free market into overpriced rentals. What we see now is housing that has doubled in price, and we see rent costing more than a mortgage for something that you'll never own.

In Washington DC they graduated 97% one year so they could receive a bonus from the government. A private firm check the records and found that over 80% were not eligible for graduating just from attendance records.
My Chem 101 professor at university had to curve the grades so much after the midterm so half the class wouldn't fail, and he would be fired... Our education system is failing and we're just acting like everything is okay. As long as the right people get paid, right?!?!
