Welcome, I'm Sarah! Grace In My Space focuses on DIY tutorials, interior design, home styling, recipes and budget friendly projects for the everyday home.
I'm sharing how you can go from house to haven, one project at a time, with attainable ideas.
I want to help families design their home with a haven-making mindset. That means taking that first step knowing that you might fail in the world's eyes, and that's ok. Let's change our mindset and look at failure as a learning opportunity!
My goal is to inspire Haven Makers to, above all, build their homes in grace.

Regarding going up as high as possible with curtains...do you use a special drill bit? Your curtains are as high as I do mine (I usually go wider) but I've noticed that there appears to be a steel beam or something across all of my windows/sliding glass doors and I can never drill thru both holes for the rod holders. Should I be using a steel bit for the drill?
We don’t have steel framing in my area. A steel drill bit would definitely be the only way to bore a hole, however I don’t know enough about that type of framing to be able to recommend if you even should do so.
What a beautiful setting for your kitchen. I love the inset cabinets also. By the way, just curious if you ever feel you'd like more storage next to your wood hood than just one floating shelf each side? I usually give my clients quite the run down on floating shelves to prepare them for the pros and cons.
I planned all my storage for under the counter. So I took that into consideration at the beginning. The shelves are really just for decor. I never missed having storage up top, but I can see it being necessary in smaller kitchens. 👍🏻
Wow what a beautiful room. I love the wallpaper and your desk is wonderful. You are so talented and you accomplished a room that is so inviting and comfortable.
They are good but I am not convinced better than paste, with paste you can move it if you have placed wrong by sliding it left right up and down, believe me if you have made a small mistake this can be invaluable, you can also butter lines up real tight doing this. Still a neat idea if you have perfect walls and do not make a mistake I can see it being really good
This room was a real departure from your normal style! I love it, but i would never have thought the cottage core style was a favorite of yours. There is such freedom in designing a room for yourself! I appropriated a small bedroom for myself as a small sitting room and was able to decorate exactly how I liked without having to consider what anyone else liked or enjoyed, so it is an extravagantly colorful and cozy room that I love to have my morning tea and bible reading in with only the dog for company lol Excellent job on the DIY part of the project. You are a beautiful example of the Proverbs 31 wife who is able to accomplish so many things to the benefit of her family 😊
Well, I enjoyed this! I don’t know how to zero dollar due to lack of resources, but I want to do the master bath. I already have the paint, but you inspire me to try wallpaper in the toilet closet!
I love this! What a beautiful space to work in! I agree that sometimes creativity and a small (or zero) budget sometimes makes the most beautiful spaces.
to hang things on wallpaper without harm take an exacto knife or razor blade and cut a V where nail or screw needs to go peel the V cut down with knife and if you decide to move it you just past the cut piece back as for free project those are also my favorite because I know JESUS is the one that gave me the idea and He gets the Glory
Wow! Looks wonderful. Hard to believe you put that desk together looks great and designer inspired. Room is bright and cheerful a place you would not mind spending time in. Peace!.
Grace- here's a wall paper hack. When hanging something on wall paper- take a utility knife, cut a "V" shape in the wall paper where the screw/ nail is to be going. Peal back that small "V" shape, exposing the dry wall.........crew in your screw or nail.....and hang your item. .if you ever change your mind, and take the nail or screw out, you simple flatten the "V" back in place with a little glue, and you can't tell there was a hole there.
That is a lovely office space! The floral and stripe wallpaper go so well together! I am impressed with the shelf you built for your desk, looks great with 0 dollars spent.
So well done! I love the fact you love a challenge, and the desk is so clever. I was shocked at the current cost of wallpaper, so it was great that you were able to get it for $0.00!
I love it! Looks so cozy and beautiful! I love wallpaper too but I love to decorate for Christmas and so I'm afraid of using wallpaper because I'm afraid it would clash with Christmas decor. 🤷🏽♀️
