@lajazzaudio thanks for this great demonstration! Could you please show (or demonstrate to) us how you did the input and output connections at the back of the equilizers? The manual isn't all clear to me on how to do the connections. Thank you in advance!
I’ve been using one of these as my home guitar amplifier since 1978. I bought my first electric guitar as a teen but couldn’t afford an amp. My father kept this old loud speaker and occasionally used it to practice Morse Code tapping. We modded it on our kitchen table. I love it so much.
The H110 cabinet is by far my favorite single driver front loaded horn cabinet. I always thought an Altec 604 in this cabinet with the ports tuned to the drivers f’c per Altec’s technical Parker’s would be a killer small room setup. For a rear loaded horn 604 setup, I’d have to go with the Jensen Laboratory Back Loaded Horn Cabinet. Funny thing, I’ve never found plans for the H110 cabinet. If someone has plans or knows a link to those plans, or even some major dimensions, I might be able to extrapolate the horn flare, etc…. But I’d rather have Altec’s original plans if at all possible, thanks
