Located amid the breathtaking Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia, The Greenbrier is a National Historic Landmark and an award-winning resort welcoming guests since 1778.
Fondest memory of flying in on his private airplane and us enjoying the Greenbrier- the fabulous restaurants, gambling (we won too 😊) and the wonderful shopping with my Mr. McKinney.
Dorothy Draper had a unique style. I would not have thought to combine coral red, warm pink and aubergine purple in the same room. I'm not very adventurous.
Great job Brian! I love the recipe idea with the puff pastry on top. I'd say in your next video try and loosen up a bit beforehand and maybe have someone stand off camera and treat the video like you're explaining the recipe and methods to a friend. You've mastered one skill already as an executive chef, now you're learning another one with being on screen. I'm subbing to see how your videos evolve.
From Deena Levy 🙏 ♥️ 🇺🇸 I remember Frank's smiling face when my daughter and I walked through the entire two lower levels of the hotel when she was young... I have loved the Greenbriar ever since. My husband and I stayed in the Terrace Suite in 2007 for a week. It was an unforgettable experience! Beautiful people, gorgeous decorating by Dorothy Draper and Carlton Varney, that started a whole new trend for the post WWII housewife in America. Add on to that the most delicious food, distinct shops filled with one of a kind treasures, five Sam Sneed golf courses, falconry, lots of activities for the children... need I say more?! The Greenbriar offers everything you would need on a one-stop resort vacation. Overall, it was a great opportunity to learn history that featured our best 'light' and maybe... just maybe, you'll also see some past images appear out of the corner of your eye that you know are still watching over the GREENBRIAR HOTEL!
