Hey everyone, I have been in the multi family residential industry for over 17 years as a maintenance tech and did 2 years in HVAC specifically. Here I will share my plethora of knowledge in weekly videos to help you "DO IT YOURSELF" at home. I will also take part in making some fun and goofy videos from time to time. New videos release on Sundays at 9am EST. Can't always be about work! Enjoy and thanks for watching.
What a bloody "Mickey Mouse" way of supposedly fixing a mere broken bracket on this bumper!! Sure it has worked but for how long??? That was just a sheer waste of time & effort & a job like this it'll be damn interesting to see exactly how long this fancy repair will last!! (yeah right) It should have been fixed properly in the very first instance & for the longer term & not just a temporary fix as in this video duly portrays!! Further a job of this nature does not require either expensive specialist tools or even a lot of head knowledge but more importantly it does require some bloody common sense which is a due facet not all of us have access to these days!! I'm actually a certified computer tech (so how boring is that??) & I simply learnt how to fix these sorts of plastic vehicle repairs merely by watching "RU-vid DIY" videos as I refused to pay the rip-off prices that the motor vehicle service industry charges for these simple repair jobs!! People would be better off spending time watching & learning "DIY RU-vid Videos" instead of the 99.95% crap that they prefer to view on the TV!! Want to save money on vehicle repairs?? Easy, stay as far away from vehicle workshops as you possibly can & do it yourself. Some of it you can't & will never be able to do but a hell of a lot of it you can indeed so get in & fix it yourself!!
Best video about this !! The instructions that came with this product were absolutely awful to the point that I was about to send them back . Thank you for making this and getting straight to the point on how to install them
Excellent video, no useless information or gawdy distractions, you took your time explaining what folks needed to hear, and showed what folks needed to see! Well done!
My spicket doesn’t stick out like that. It’s down inside of the what do I do? My landlord removes them because of the homeless the maintenance guys. Use plyers but I want to use the correct handle tool so it doesn’t get broken and I can’t be blamed but I can’t find one that will work.
Edit.. the back side of the clip isn't going in like yours did. So, guess I'm not putting the back ones on. 😢 Omg thank you!!! Our last vehicle (no longer have due to accident) did not get the back visors because those clips had my mind bumbfuzzled so bad. I had to buy more for the front of our new vehicle (same year, make and model, just different color, lol) but couldn't find just the fronts. So now we have 4 back window visors. Lol. But I'll be able to get them on now, thanks to your video. Thank you again!!!!
I was told the brackets themselves are cheap & might have been warped over time. Hopefully thst will help you to stop having to so this over and over again.
thank you very much every other tutorial uses glue when in reality the problem is not with the bumper bracket but with the loose screw, I would've gotten scammed off of 50$ just for them to put glue and for my bumper to fall back, but your tutorial saved me!!!
Thank you for making this video. My bumper is the same way . I took it to 2 body shop for estimate. 1 place wants $3,000. And the other one is $400. I'm gonna try and fix it myself. Paula LaGuire. Lafayette Indiana
Ditto to 'Paulcorcoran1795. The manufacture's video is totally confusing, covering it with music, NO VERBAL INSTRUCTION LIKE YOURS - and not showing any detail like you have. I could not have installed them correctly if I had not found your video. Thank you DIY MIKE!
Thanks So Much for posting this video... after an hour of trying to do it myself.... I had to come and see if anyone did a DIY video! Front ones went on without issue... the a back windows... no so much..... =) Thanks Again!
I would recommend you paint the clips prior to install. I installed in channel rain guards by the book and the window still would not go up after dry time I removed them for the tape on kind The clips were rusted after 30 days to to point they stained my trim
Yeah I definitely needed to watch this video cause I have a bad habit of forcing and breaking things mostly out of frustration. I just got a set from my neighbor for letting him use my garage and tools to put a lift kit in his truck. I was pleasantly surprised when he put them in front of my door. He asked what he owed me and I said don’t be silly. Friends and neighbors for years now. I put a set of glue on years ago so this gives me a little wiggle room. Nice job of explaining everything thanks for your helpful advice. ✌️👍🇺🇸
