David has always been close to Syds intention, without copying him. I find his rendering of Flaming, PF live concert in France think it was, very convincing. Very powerful.
Josh Freese fucking destroyed the drum kit in Piggy, jesus christ man, he's a machine and is doing great in Foo Fighters, even though at least for me he is a lot better than that and NIN has Ilan that is amazing as well so we're fine! :) But his solo on Piggy is still my favorite
Pink Floyd❤️❤️❤️❤️🎼🎵🎶🎹🎸 Roger, Dave, Rick🖤, Nick, Syd🖤 and Seamus (here Mademoiselle Nobs) We must be grateful that we're living here on Earth in the same time as these guys.
It’s funny the cool kids never approach the goth, hippie, and alternative kids until they are on hard times and need to emote. A good reminder to treat those kids at school that are generally viewed as “freaks” as the only ones who can identify with your pain in a non judgmental way. Tis best to be an amoeba in the formative years and to remember the mantra, “I wouldn’t be a part of any club that would have me as a member”=]. You start to acknowledge that the world has the equal capacity to treat you well or like shit regardless of whether you share a positive or negative personal trait with the world driven by the algorithms of marketing and personal ethical balance sheet management. #RHTS. Charlie Murphy and Rick James probably could have coined the meme “Peer Pressure is a hell of a drug” with a better outcome than the Chapelle Shows famous #meme.
Difficult to be the chosen freak, Reznor makes the perfect soundtrack to being that idiot to let me eat up by. My own ignorance and weaknesses and obessions.
everyones all somber while im here eating macaroni and cheese out of the pot. feeling lucky to be alive. not as depressed as i used to be. cut off all the people who were bad for my mental health. it does get better with time and effort <3
That setlist is insane. Many lowkey songs. Many underrated songs. A lot of Fragile and Year Zero\Slip stuff over "Closer", "Terrible Lie" and "Sin" and some other hit songs. Rarely big bands do such justice for their discography.
I like how this song could be viewed for a young person trying figure out life and dealing with addiction but it could also be viewed as a older person who has just about no one anymore, and would trade everything just to start again
the two versions just speak to me on two different levels, the young and older me. When we look at back at our lives we must all feel from both sides, both sides are magnificent
