thats why europe builds homes using 300/500 mm single block, because this shit will make a very good draft in cavity there for what is point having cavity if it does nothing?!?!!?!?!?!? cavity is meant to prevent inner wall from getting cold from outer wall but you just let draft in using these and most likely cavity is empty unless someone pumped beads or foam into it........
He's trying to make it look like the rest of the old building in the background. There is no tuck pointing it later. It will not bond unless you use a bonding agent like acyrl 60. The only logical reason to rake them out and point it later, is if you don't have the color you need to match the pre existing work. He is using the correct color to match the old building, so that is finished product . He even tooled it with the brush
