Pure stupidity

This happened to my son. He was sleeping in the crib next to my bed when thumping woke me up. I turned on the light and saw him wrapped in a blanket, thrashing around and repeatedly hitting his heels on mattress. His head was wrapped completely. I put a blanket in crib because he refused swaddles and sleep sacks, and i was worried about him getting cold.

Thank God that the baby is safe

My daughter didn't sleep in another room as me until she started school. Then, we still have a baby monitor in there so we can hear/see if anything happens.

I feel that parents like this should be forced to take parenting classes! Why the hell did she wait that long!!! Ugh!!!! First mistake is the blankets and all the other shit, then why the hell are you having your baby sleep in that play pen???? I bet she went right back to putting her baby in that play pen with all of those other things!!!

There is a reason BABY blankets exist. It is the length of the baby and the baby wouldnt get tangle in it. No blanket that looks like it can fit 3-6 babies in it should be use.

This mom was probably worried about her baby “catching a cold” or being cold, but there are ways to keep baby warm instead of this. My mom use to dress me up in layers.

Oh my Lord, I just had a panic attack watching him struggle in the blankets!!! 😮😢 I never put blankets or pillows in my children’s crib because of this very reason!! My 2 boys had sleep sacs and those are amazing!! It prevents exactly what you are seeing here!! 🫢🥺
