Prostitution is not legal in Panamá but is overlooked by the local government because it brings in sexual tourism. Just wanted to clear that up dude :) I’m Panamanian but been living in Dubai for over 8 years. Just found out about Habanos so I went there 3 months ago and I agree with you. Yes, it definitely is quite the experience. On the legal issue....I think you may be thinking of the promoting of it or actual sex trafficking. BOTH of those are illegal in Panama. While prostitution itself is NOT a criminal offense. Well....I should say "consenting" prostitution.
I was in Panama City for 7 weeks, and I just got back a week ago. The place is booming...lots of girls. Headed back in 2 weeks. I know the name has changed, but it'll always be Habanos to me.
That's great to hear! It will always be Habanos to me. I really miss that entire street when it was hoping with nightlife! Calle Uruguay. Then they basically shut it down to remodel it for like 2 years.....Once it opened back up again...it's just never been the same.
@@travelwithmatt7622 Calle Uruguay was shut down because the people that lived nearby in apartment buildings complained about the excessive noise levels down below (the Covid-19 Pandemic didn't help things either). All the nightclubs, restaurants, bars, etc. were closed down in the area and some moved elsewhere.
@@Nutty151 Most tried to stay open during the remodel, and since it wasn't getting the traffic that it once had, most had to either shutdown or move. Once the remodel was complete, yes Covid had a big to do with keeping things slow, but that area just never recovered like it should have. It was not due to the noise levels or complaints.
@@travelwithmatt7622 Panama has great hidden areas like that, but the tourism industry there still has A LOT to grow and learn from other nearby countries.
Are there areas where working girls are in the street or are they all confined to Bars & Casinos etc? In Madagascar you get them in the streets and bars. Fellow traveller, at least before the c 1-9 psyop Global power grab but that is another conversation, it was not about health.
There are girls walking around in the streets. HOWEVER, be careful with them! The girls walking the streets in Panama are typically the ones that aren't allowed into the bars etc. And they aren't allowed in for a reason! Bottom line, they have most likely messed up in the past. I would steer clear of them.
there was NOTHING to compare to the ambience of HABANOS.....pretty girls just hanging out...sometimes they were paid for sex...many times they would just hang out with a bunch of guys and get paid 200 dollars for their time...
Not sure what it was like when you made this video, but definitely very hot girls -$150 to $250 - a pop. Almost all Colombian. Very friendly, outgoing good time girls. Treat them good and they will return the favour big time.
That entire area has changed drastically in the last 10 years. It's gone from amazing to dead and back to pretty good again. The reconstruction of Uruguay street....the before and after is VERY different! It was a way more happening street before all of the construction.
@@travelwithmatt7622 I heard Habanos has been shut down by the police because of unpaid "fines" and lack of "permits". Any way of finding out if that's true? I am due to go to Panama on business again.
Habanos is open. Overflowing onto the street with hot hookers and taxi guys with C. Closes at 12am. The executive charges $11 to bring guest but it 2 min walk from habanos. Last night brought another girl in and didn't pay $11. Guess it depends on if they notice you.
Panama City, Costa Rica or Meddelin? What do you recommend? PMC seems to be the most safe and attractive but prices are a bit higher than the other options
I really like Medellin and even Cartagena. However one of my friends has a couple of great spots for rent now in Jaco Costa Rica. Jaco is a TON of fun and right on the ocean! I'll post a video review of the place soon.
@@footieloose5109 yep. I stated at the executive hotel. Only charged 13 for each girl or I had them just walk up with me sometimes. 140 per girl per hour from the bar right down the rd. Cola was garbage
Watch out for those 'motorcycles' pretending to stop and have a mechanical problem, they are all crooks and rob foreigners. It happened to us in the street. Bavaro, El Cortecito, all those places are 'ghetto' as soon as you step out of your resort, they follow you and harass you and steal all your belongings. Well, if you have a choice, pick a different island. Also, make sure you read all the warning issued by your consulate and you will see, too many crimes happen every single day. Dangerous place.
I completely agree and I WILL do a follow up on this bar. I did not want to film any of the girls out of respect, but learning how many people wanted to see that....the next review that I do, I will be sure and pan the view!

I understand what he means now. They literally just stare at you constantly constantly which I think is not normal so it seems odd They are kind of like super hot beggars who won't leave you alone
I purchased some but I don't recall how much I paid. So that tells me that they weren't much. If I had to guess, I paid about $20 US or so for a bunch. Very affordable!
lol Yeah I didn't enjoy them just forcing animals onto me during that. Completely unexpected but great example of what to expect in Punta Cana....the unexpected! Always enjoy your travels.
I was there in December 2020 and there was a curfew in place due to Covid. 10pm I believe it was....so there was no night life then. The resorts however, there was no curfew and they had things going on. Restaurants, bars, mini shows etc.
Not recommended of you will be robbed for sure. At 8 pm , it's pitch dark and they are so poor that they do not have any light in the streets. Result : you get easily assaulted. I will never go back again in that ghetto island.
Not the parts of Punta Cana that I was wandering around at. Many police, lots of lighting etc. Spoke with many locals and there are no worries about walking around at night in this area.
