Never in a million years would I use this - to many components and steps - you would never get paid enough to do this and you probably would die from old age before you finished
He just showed all the steps in this exact video, in less than 1 million years. And he's still alive at the time of this comment. So you not only are wrong to the highest degree, you end up looking silly. To be clear: _These Düraamen videos are for people who get things done, not for people sitting in their armchair making up nonsense._
To be clear, there is no need to prime the drywall, or use mesh, or cement board? Normal drywall is ok? (Update: I now see that you are recommending the CP1000)
This floor is trash. You never put concrete over a weaker material that will age like wood. You will get cracks, structural failure over the years and it will be extremely expensive to remove this concrete layer, you'll have to tear off the whole plywood subfloor and start from scratch. This is as stupid as it gets, made usa stupid. This is the kind of mentality that built the exploding Challenger space rocket.
This is straight stupid united-statian residential building. Putting concrete over wood is a guarrantee for problems down the road. If you ever want to upgrade your flooring to woodfloors you cannot. If you have damage in the subfloor plywood you have a cracked concrete over it, it's a major issue that will cost thousands to repair whereas it's only a straight sublfoor repair for regular subfloors. These people are stupid af. They don't know how to build brick houses either they use wood sticks and stapled nails. This is retarded.
After watching the series, it would have been nice to see a clearer shot of the final product. I cant tell if it is slightly verigated or homogenous color. Im looking to do a natural looking vetigated light and natural grey color with a matte finish
Purpose of structural urethane is to meld the two pieces of plywood together by filling any void between them, essentially creating a seamless foundation to work from. Caulk shrinks over time. Shrinkage = voids = instability = cracks in finish layer = headache to repair.
can I use this machine to remove the old stain and sealer from stamped concrete? Frustrated as this point as a pressure washer will not take it all off...
Can’t you just put a sealer on the gypcrete subfloor to make it your finished floor? Why is it necessary to do a skim coat on top in order to get the polished finished floor if we like the way the gypcrete floor looks as is?
this is AMAZING!!! ty!! is there any of these steps/products you would do differently if applying overlay onto cement backer board? we were originally going to install tile, but for several different reasons are now seriously considering a concrete overlay instead and, are hoping the cement board does not have to be removed.
So please clear up this for me: You apply UV protective clear ACRYLIC sealer first and then when it dries you apply the water-based non-yellowing POLYURITHANE sealer (gloss)? Thanks!
Great demo👍- Just wondering how this might hold up as a patio? Thinking I might do this and hand-paint it to simulate a porcelain tile. If installing this outside, how would I protect the underside and sides of the chipboard? Polyurethane and paint?
I'd like to put a cement overlay over my wood shop floor . I want a fireproof/sparkproof floor so I don't have to worry about welding over it. Can I do this over a painted floor or do I need to strip the paint first? Is there a primer that will make it bond? Thanks, Great video.
