SO happy you were able to put this on YT! It's impressive that this is over 2h of music with a mostly unchanging sound palette, and yet they manage to keep it interesting. Speaks volumes about how incredibly sophisticated their "rig" is
very nice, the image is clear and concise, very well mixed and balanced, free flowing progression, delicious and atmospheric aesthetic, whats not to love
i strongly agree on all counts lol. thank you. i can totally understand it might not be for everyone, given there is a good amount of sloppy jamminess here, the bass guitar isn’t totally in tune.. but sometimes it’s fun to embrace slop with electronic music.
@@bitroast well said, there's so much sterility in the very nature of electronic music- and "popular music" for that matter, in terms of its production value. When presented with care and intent, contrast promenades, accenting and elevating the subliminality of the pedestrian. Proving that approach and delivery in artistic expression is not to be overlooked when striving for authenticity.
Deco loc is my personal favorite Autechre song - hearing those stutterey vocal chops really inspired me when I spun Exai for the first time. But…my god! EIGHT HOURS of samples from that kind of Max MSP engine! I absolutely love this extension of Deco loc - reminds me of Replica-era Oneohtrix Point Never, which was another big influence on me.
Calling ceremony a new order song is a bit disrespectful towards ian I get they’re playing it in the way they did in new order but it is essentially a joy division song but they didn’t manage to record it in the studio before ian committed suicide
@@bitroast I get that but imagine if you die before you didn’t have time to record the songs you wrote before you died and it’s just remembered as a song by another band because most people think that mentioned band rather than your original band because most won’t know new order became a thing because you died Edit: don’t think new order would be respectful of ian after my comment especially after they play ceremony and love will tear us apart because it’s expected rather than because they want to
I actually unironically like this game. I recall it had the interesting gimmick of randomising which Planeteer faces which Eco-Villain each time. The manual had some recommendations, though in hindsight I dont know if it matters. That being said, as per manual, I usually try to make it so that Wheeler is the one facing Duke Nukem. And this game had another interesting, if stressful gimmick of having a countdown timer. And I do enjoy the songs to an extent. Boss Theme is great and threatening, Doomsday Barge feels like an endgame theme, title theme sounds like the start of an adventure.
I remember when Ae dropped their first release (under a different alias) in the Precambrian Era. Wild times back then existing in the primordial goo. Their tools have evolved, but somehow they still capture the vibe of hanging out in that brothy stew of molecules. Today I listen to Ae whilst bubbling in a spa, but it's not the same without the free radicals and cyanobacteria forming iron. They were chill, unlike the sporadic meteor strikes.
"Old Testament" Radiohead. I'm lost, wondering when I watched this last time at full length. It took 3 years to discover this upload, and it seems it's kind of remastered. Thank you, thank you, thank you very, very much!
check the link in description for the actual full upload in high quality, on radiohead website. this upload is just the band performances without the other parts included. thanks! :)
@@bitroastwhy is cerimony as new order instead Joy Division song? Just curiosity, because pragmatically it's the same band, less the former vocalist, unfortunately, of course.
I love not knowing exactly what the melody is, but receiving intermitent hidden clues, so I have to figure it out or imagine it. Finally, it is a creative process between the sounds and my imagination
