I really dont like star wars. The show feels like it has so much wasted potential all around. But the small bits that are good, are really good. I also love how Anakin turned evil, but was still fulfilling his prophecy in the end. He was the chosen one and he finished the job like one, along with his son.
"You are fulfilling your destiny, *Anakin* " As Palpatine says this, Anakin saves his son and kills Palpatine, fulfilling his destiny as the Chosen One. Wow, I never realized how similar these moments were. "It's like poetry, it rhymes."
Honestly all this did is remind me that compared to movies, TV shows can actually drag out certain scenes significantly longer for the sake of storytelling and atmosphere
As someone who was primo kid age when clone wars started. I just wasn’t able to get into it with random episodes I’d occasionally catch on cable. And I’ve just got my kids starting to watch it after finishing the trilogy movies. And they like it so far. I had no idea it went this deep into it. I didn’t really know where to expect it to go but watching the side by side I can tell I’ve missed some quality stuff. I’ve seen basically every other piece of film even part of the rebels and played most of the games. But this makes me want to really sit down and watch it probably to the point where my kids will want to watch not binge it because attention spans haha
Honestly both hit very hard, the movies gave us a resumed version of the events that pushed Anakin over the edge to the dark side, however the Clone Wars series filled the gaps providing context and clarifying his fall beginning to end. In my opinion, movies and series together have managed to explain the beginning of Anakin’s journey from jedi to sith. Amazing
Palpatine taking advantage of the fact that the jedi couln't save his mother or allow him a relationship with the girl he fallen in love with is why this movie is just the goat.
