DRK is actually pretty average right now it's pretty strong in CC but in frontlines, other jobs(especially Red Mage) offer way way more. salted earth is annoying but there are a lot of horrific premades you can run into that don't involve DRK at all
@@Meilymo imo i hope they don't nerf salt at all and instead just add kb resistance for like 2s after being affected by the last kb so it's harder to chain knockback effects in frontlines drk is just kind of on scrubkiller status in frontlines and gets harassed pretty easily by players who know how to counter it. and salt is the single most important ability dark knight has because you basically can't tank anything without standing inside of it. if they nerf salt without giving the class something to compensate dark knight will get forced even further into this weird dollar store dps roamer playstyle instead of the flexible way you can play it now
I hate how frontlines is just supersoaker gaming. If they removed the weird little "use MP to insta heal a few times" part i might like it more, but it's just absolute chaos and a gamble to know if your target actually has 50% hp or if they have a full bar of MP and can tank 3 full combos and your LB while slowly strafing back to their team
use disables more effectively to strip their resources. use RPR/DNC/WAR to deny guard. use SCH/DRK/RDM to deny healing. use stuns and silences to force out purify, apply more cc after purify to put them in danger. learn the chokepoints on a tank's mitigation to focus them and crack them. if you just click everything on cooldown they can just respond to what you do and get away most of the time. but when i target someone with a plan and the intention to disrupt their mitigation at a specific point it doesn't matter how much mp they have they're gonna die unless a healer can bail them out or an ally of theirs notices me and stops me. that's where the nuance comes into things. strong players consistently get Battle High and use it to press the advantage. also you need recuperate for longer battles. not to mention it would unfairly punish squishy jobs like SGE/BLM, as well as DRK given the way it casts from HP
@@ViralC1 see that's a more honest answer. you don't have to like it(personally i like CC's 5v5 way more) but plenty of people do enjoy it and i wouldn't want their fun ruined just to satisfy people who want something else
@@user-vd6hl3ez1o i wish they would help queue times by letting players match for ranked games across DCs in the same region. I'm on Crystal, and I can queue for normal content with players on Dynamis- why cant' the same be true for Ranked? The playerbase is too small for the distinction to really matter. it's genuinely so much fun when queues are active, it's just frustrating how fast they dry up outside of the start and end of a season because matchmaking is not good and the rewards don't motivate people to grind
@@armorparade that would definitely make the mode as a whole more active. whether it is possible to do it or not with the current technical set up square has is another question. they should also add a duo que or more for casuals at least
