This video takes too much time up on just displaying the blades. It needs to show the blades in action as well as showing more carefully how they connect to handles. For example how well they remove popcorn. Impressed with the products but not with Columbia videos!!!!!!!
A common mistake many new users make which i was guilty of is they fail to stop completely before cutting the tape. This causes a jam or a mis cut every time.
Ive learned to look at the tip of the taper as i approach the end of an angle. When it looks to be even with the corner,stop the pull completely and cut the tape. Its a perfect cut each time. Not to short,not too long.Also when taking a break stuff a moist sponge or towel in the end of your taper as it sits in your water bucket. It keeps the inside of the tube from drying out and it will continue to operate smoothly. If it dries out you will feel resistance when refilling your taper, until the tube becomes moist again.
I used to completely fill my taper up before taping,but as ive gotten older it just exhaust me too soon. Especially doing ceilings or the top angles. Now I just give it about 5 or 6 pumps and go to work. I may have to return to the pump more often,but it doesn't tire me out near as much as lifting that completely filled taper up over my head hundreds of times.

It's guys being guys and you got to earn the respect. Do you know how many young guys like you came before you? Dozens. Sorry to say it but you got to prove you're not like them. Be self-deprecating, make a joke back, an act like a part of the crew. They will accept you and your work. I mean a list of literally throwing hammers at you it's just being a guy.
Also, if you think that working with people that are 20 years older than you or double your age whenever you’re 20 and a blue-collar job are failing then you’re mistaken. Some big paychecks people are taking home for the work they do and the consistency.

Im a foreman for a company that installs the beds, trees and irrigation. 5 man crews. 40-120 plants ( depending on house size), 2-4 30 gallon trees, 1-2 4"-6" "street tree" put in by bobcat and final graded while installing, and 40-120 bags of mulch. 3 houses a day.

I would say cause the old heads are stuck in their ways and always complain about how things are now when I can't even think of affording a home. Thinking that having 30 years of experience doesn't mean a much younger guy can know exactly as much as them and willing to stand by code.
Dope blades 🔥 I've been wiping tapes with a aluminum roller as well. Much lighter technique and helps especially in higher walls and when taping ceilings 👍🏽
Great tool, works fairish with paper tape as well, needs fixing with knife though. Didn't know of that shorter handle being released. I sawed one of my one handles couple years back already and named it "Baby Handle" 😁 when working in tight corridor, it helped a lot!
