It does work if you manage to find the right memory addresses. I'd recommend choosing an existing resolution option from your graphics menu that has unique height and width values and searching and replacing those in CheatEngine. Make sure you are on a different resolution while changing the values. It took me a few tries, but it worked.
it was mostly editing the exe for zolika, developers actually made the splitscreen gamemode and then disabled it. luckily they enabled it on ps2 version. so yesterday, i unpacked ps2 version of fo2 and guess what i have found. i have merged it with the pc version and it was ready to go.. well.. zolika had to hook the exe but.. enjoy :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pwKbgSitF9E.html Free download is in the desc
Tried everything in the video and comment section but I didn't have any success. I have the EU (English) version of the game, the US 1.1 patch won't install and I can't find any other patch. Cheat Engine come with like 4 versions which doesn't make things easier also. The game does work out of the box with 4:3 display but there are issues with the game running too fast. Enableling v-sync to 60 fps didn't solve it on my AMD card so I had to set a cap of 60fps with RivaTunerStatisticsServer (RTSS). This made the game playable, though perhaps 30fps is better for this game.
Thanks @hondwelt for making this. I think I found a way to get this to work every time for the folks who are having trouble, but you'll have to test it and see if it works. Step 1 - Open Cheat Engine Step 2 - Open Fellowship of the Ring and get to the main menu Step 3 - Press ALT + TAB to minimize the Fellowship window, then open the Fellowship.exe in Cheat Engine Step 4 - Enter 640 in the "Value:" field in Cheat Engine and press Enter Step 5 - Right click on any of the addresses in the left window and select "Browse this memory region" Step 6 - In the Memory Viewer window, click "Search" Step 7 - Click "Find Memory" Step 8 - Select the "(Array of) byte" button and paste the following string in the field and click "OK": 80 02 00 00 E0 01 00 00 20 00 00 00 D0 02 00 00 E0 01 00 00 20 00 00 00 D0 02 00 00 40 02 00 00 20 00 00 00 20 03 00 00 58 02 00 00 20 00 00 00 * This will give you the first address you need to customize the "640 x 480 x 32" resolution Step 9 - Now go and find this address in the Scan window and change its value to the larger number of your desired resolution (1920 for me) Step 10 - Next enter 480 in the "Value:" field and run a New Scan Step 11 - Now you can repeat Steps 5 - 8 and paste the following string to get the next address you need: E0 01 00 00 20 00 00 00 D0 02 00 00 E0 01 00 00 20 00 00 00 D0 02 00 00 40 02 00 00 20 00 00 00 20 03 00 00 58 02 00 00 20 00 00 00 00 04 00 00 * This is the address for the smaller number in the display resolution Step 12 - Repeat Step 9 but this time you need to change its value to the smaller number of your desired resolution (1080 for me) And once you do that, you should be able to go to Options -> Graphics Settings, and you should see your new custom resolution as the first option. Hope this helps.
I dont know what it is with this file, but my anti- virus is telling me its a Trojan inside this file. If you're the one that made this mod, come clean with us.
Me, I have figured out the modded files and got them organized. The malware is only located in the launcher, i just need to figure out how to make a new launcher then we will be GG.
The big thing people are gunna want is mod compatibility. Ideally, a single mod which works with most other mods no problems. Well, once we figure out steam and all that. Beyond the immediate, I wonder if alternate weapons is a possibility? Because as cool as DEUS VULTing around on a horse is, imagine if you had one of those Byzantine flamethrowers... Wait... Imagine this with that M2 Warhammer Fantasy mod. Fuck...
