Hello, what a brilliant presentation. I'm an engineer by profession, and I design an advance Distribution network for my Distribution area. So I need things like this to do some video presentation for people who will support the project. I will appreciate if you can offer any assistance.
I work in the electrical distributor of my city and we want to apply this, I need more help and information please. I have many reclosers and disconnectors in the city. thanks
Can this specific type of system applied to an electrical network (specifically a hydroelectric one) be hacked? I mean, can a hacker get remotely inside the scada system and sabotage it to make the network fail and create a power blackout, for example, in an entire city? Can this hack be done from the outside via internet? Or is it just impossible? Honestly I have no idea how these automation systems work, I am just curious because recently my country (Venezuela) went through a massive power Blackout (more than 50hours without electricity) the government washed their hands by saying that the system was hacked and it had been sabotaged and I’m really curious to know if it’s possibles to sabotage a network like this one.
