La Pizza Romana ha tutt'altri tempi ed misure negli ingredienti diversi, è come se parliamo della più antica Pinsa Romana, che è definita Romana non perché nasce e si trova a Roma, questa infatti nasce (ovviamente poi perfezionata nel tempo) proprio nell'antica Roma, e così ha avuto delle evoluzioni anche la Pizza, e per questa abbiamo avuto noi come Umanità, la fortuna di vedere in una immagine presente in un affresco ,su un muro di una Domus all'interno del parco Archeologico di Pompei, questa pietanza all'epoca, veniva servita con la frutta al posto del pomodoro (ovviamente ancora non presente nel vecchio continente) e si il tutto si può ammirare in un affresco pompeiano di 2000 anni fa. nell'insula 10 della Regio IX.
