Ric Ocasek from The Cars was recruited to produce their follow-up album. After a few months he quit. Not because of them, but due to the record label interference. He said they were all very talented and wanted them to play on the tunes. But the label wanted to bring in studio musicians to play. He tried everything but couldn't win that fight, so he backed out.
Zac asks two questions in this song and resolves the chorus by saying "In an umm-bop they are gone". He then resolves the two questions by saying "Can you tell me? No you cant cause you dont know". This is a very well written song that still stands up 20+ years later.
I have never denied my love of their music. Had all of the albums including the Christmas albums. They are incredible musicians. They were like 9-14 when they wrote this.

Yes Zach Hanson is left handed and he's still the drummer. I think the video is mirrored because even the Hanson symbol in the background is backwards. And usually Taylor and Isaac are on the opposite sides than what they are in this video.
This song speaks to me of the sincerity of Hanson's early writing. Kids writing solid songs about the experience of being kids. Sincere, heartfelt and beautiful.
